I am blown away. I am from 305 since 1961. I lived 10 minutes from here. I grew up living on Northeast 163rd St. it is still there between 10th and 12th Ave. I moved to Okeechobee five years ago from plantation Florida I’ve never been to an IHOP because there’s none where I live on the East Coast. The closest one to Okeechobee is Port St. Lucie. I went there once with my patient. I’m an RN. I take care of very wealthy people that have Alzheimer’s and their kids don’t want anything But their money. Long story short I’m at this restaurant right now because my sister lives in Keystone and I couldn’t sleep. I said let’s go see the sunrise like we were when we were kids. My parents still live in Keystone as well. I just can’t stress enough what Gigi start at the Service you can eat off your floors. I have diagnosed. This is personal with OCD I have if you know what that means you’re compulsive I’m a nurse. Do you think I would? I will walk out of a restaurant I can’t stand smells you walk in and it smells clean. You could eat off the bathroom floor. When I see something that’s beyond outstanding, I give kudos and when it’s not outstanding, they’re gonna hear I’ll go to corporate. I will spend my life on the phone to take care of someone so I’m telling you, Gigi and The Manager and the chef I didn’t. I congratulated him and he didn’t tell me it was the best food non-greasy and I every time I’m here I come to church once a month cause my favorite church is on seventh Avenue I’m a Christian Northwest Baptist and it’s a multi culture. I am Irish American and I speak five languages and that I just want you to know that they deserve whatever you can do and if you had two people like this every IHOP since I grew up and left here 20 years ago, I’ve never ever seen one like this. I’m sorry this is so long but I have to stress how Hector and Gigi and my food was phenomenal. My sister is a snob and doesn’t eat anywhere unless it’s a five star restaurant she even said it was good so that means a lot. God bless you all. Thank you and please let them have recognition cause recognition is due. You should have them trained your other restaurants not only on cooking cleanliness, but how to enter Gigi when I enter, she is spotless this woman I’ve never seen in my five star restaurants I go to dressed to the tea, made up a smile to die for and she spotless and she smells like a queen that she is again thank...
Read moreI drop off my dog at the Vet across the street. I needed to work while I wait for my dog to be ready. So I came in for breakfast. I asked the staff for a table close to the plug and they kindly assist.. The waitress took 30 minutes to come to my table when a waitress came to serve the table next to me I asked her for help she said she wasn’t my waitress. Then other came apologize and helped me. While I was there the party next to me where complaining about their waitress and how she keep disappearing. They even got up to get their own coffee pot and say oh she is talking outside. I was listening to the whole thing and I thought oh well that sucks. Next day I had to bring my diabetic dog to the vet for a follow up so I did the same thing came to I hope to have breakfast and work a bit while I wait. I asked to be sited at the same place. I was waiting to place my order and the same bad waitress from the day before called Imary came to me and said I couldn’t sit there because it was a conflict of interest. I ask her how is a conflict of interest if I’m not bringing food nor drinks from outside. She started blabbing nonsense and said I couldn’t sit there because they might need the table. There were many tables open at this point. She started raising her voice and being very rude I asked her to lower the voice and I asked for the manager. She said she was the assistant manager. I told her I just want to have my breakfast and coffee. She left then came back with manager Manuel Martinez on the phone. I explained the situation to him while this lady was japing none stop next to me screaming to give her her phone back! (after she was the one who gave it to me). She lied and said I stayed there for 3 hours the day before. I came in at 9:09 and cash out at 10:05 (I kept my receipt and I waited for a while before being served so I kept looking at my watch). After all of this she grabbed her phone and left screaming. Another waitress came and took my order. I only stayed because I was already there and I was hungry and I knew my dog would be ready soon but I would never go back to this place. That waitress should not be allowed to work with people. It’s the most rude and disrespectful situation I ever had at a restaurant. If you go and got her a waitress leave!! Or ask for someone else. Horrible experience! Would give it...
Read moreLiterally sitting in my car at the parking lot of this IHOP taking the time to start this review. The gentleman working there right now, could not be LESS FIT to work in customer service. I am picking up an order that we placed online. I walk in, and say good morning as he is standing by the register on the entry podium. He ignores my greeting and once he realizes that I have noticed because I look up at him and away from my phone, he says "give me a minute", to which I reply "take your time." At this point he has not even made eye contact. Then he proceeds to continue to tap onto the screen in front of him. A couple of minutes after that he, finally separates himself from the register to wander around the store, and check on tables. After a few minutes of that he approaches me and loudly asks "what's the name??". I was a bit puzzled that he had not asked why I was there yet, he knew. I told him the name of my friend whose order I was picking up and he then screamed, not kidding here, screamed to I don't know who, " Mar... IS HERE!" No one answered and one more time he left to wander around the store. He comes back to me and says, "what did you say your name was?", I told him "I'm picking up for Mar..." He one more time asked for the order, and began to approach the opening between the dinning room and the kitchen. He goes back there, grabs my order and from said opening, which is not close to me at all, he dangles my food on his finger and says "here is your order". He moves not one inch from that spot, while dangling the food. His patronizing unsolicited disgusting behavior towards a patron for no reason should be grounds for a final corrective action. Unless he already has a history of this kind of odd uncaring process towards clients, then maybe a different kind of accountability ought to take place.
Once I got home and had the food, I got sick.
One should not do a job one isn't qualified for or even happy doing. In my next review, I speak of a young man that helped me moments later at another establishment. He could get a tip or two about customer...
