I want to amend this review. I had received apologies from Gio and the owner, Master Rubio. We had a positive discussion and I have joined Kung Fu Connection for an exciting new adventure in the practice of Tai Chi. I am truly in the right place.
I have been a student of Tai Chi since a visit to China in 2011. My current experience is not giving me enough growth. A friend shared good experience with this school. I stopped by last week at 11:15 as the website said they opened at 11AM but they were not. So I called and left a message. Gio called back and after answering my questions, he made an appointment for 1:30 today for the accommodation of his schedule. I was there on tie for the appointment to sign up. He was in an appointment. When I walked in; he did not acknowledge me or ask if he could help me. He knew I was there. I took a seat. At 1:40, I excused myself and said I had an appointment with Gio for 1:30. He said it would be another few minutes. At 1:50 with no indication of his current appointment was being wrapped up, I left. His behavior was rude and unprofessional. He did not call me back this afternoon. Shame on you for not treating a new customer ...
Read moreI have been at KFC for several months and LOVE it! I'm feeling great, gaining my strength and flexibility back, my breathing has improved and I feel like I gained a family with my SiHings and fellow students as well.
If you wish to learn REAL Tai Chi, then this is the place to go and not the park or watching a DVD. One of my favorite aspects of KFC is the knowledge they have of the problems a man my age, who lived life on the edge and kept getting cut, and how to alleviate them through certain exercises and stretching techniques, aside from what is practiced in class.
I will also add that it's hard work, if you really want to excel, but it's always fun for students of...
Read moreI have been attending this school for almost two years and I cannot express enough how I grateful I am for its existence. After being diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis I thought I would never be able to train again but Kung Fu Connection change that. Thanks to them I am stronger, more confident, and every day I feel like MS is less and less of obstacle.
This isn't some kind of McDojo or martial arts hobbyist trap. This is an authentic , catered, and defined experience run by people who care about the curriculum they teach and strive to uphold the legacy of those that came before them. It is an honor and privilege to train there and I always look forward to going. If anyone is looking to light a fire inside of them, gain a sense of purpose, and discover a strength that transcends spiritual, physical, and mental. Look no further than...
