Update:12/13/24. On this date I would like to share that my experience with service staff was subpar. Don’t know if they don’t like to wait on single person or assumed that tips would be lesser than a party of several people. Food was fine but again service was cold I felt unattended and ignored by the whole staff. Since Im not a cheap bastard did tip well 30% anyway.
“Previous review “ After a rough night of whiskey, beers & rock; I did wake up with craving for Cuban food. And was glad that I did travel to Little Havana Restaurant. Starting with a bowl of excellent chicken soup;It was delicious like not where else in Miami this days, piping hot like suppose to be served. Two rolls & plenty of “real butter “on the side which is becoming a rarity in most restaurants-this days. I did order a Bistec Empanizado that was a blanket overloading the plate. Moro rice was good as well with bits of Chicharrones in the mix. The waiter ,Raul was very nice and polite, busgirls also on point and making sure everything was okay. We all know by now this venue is a South Florida institution for so many years and still holds the title; I haven’t been in years , But I’m glad that I did today. PS:the missing star is for the parking lot odd looking guy that I’m not sure if he is a security guard or a stalker. If that would be a S Guardian? please get him some kind uniform or something that distinguish him from being creepy....
Read moreI’ve been a loyal, regular customer for years, but what happened during my last visit was not only disappointing — it was unsafe and unacceptable.
We were a party of six, including my 1-year-old son in a high chair, seated in the big dining area (the one that’s usually closed during the week). Around 7:50 PM, our waiter placed a hot to-go coffee directly in front of my baby. There were plenty of other safe spots on the table, but instead it was set right in front of a child. Naturally, he reached for it, spilled it, and burned his leg.
And then — nothing. Not one staff member stopped to ask if he was okay, if we needed help, or even to apologize. The entire restaurant was staring at us, and the staff just carried on as if nothing happened.
If management wants proof, check your cameras. You will see exactly what happened.
This is more than bad service — it’s a serious safety issue. Your staff needs better training to be aware, to use common sense, and to prioritize customer safety, especially around children.
To make matters worse: • We received no refills the entire meal. • We were a table of six regular customers and still treated with zero care or urgency.
I’ve always supported this restaurant, but after this experience, I’m seriously reconsidering coming back. I truly hope management takes this seriously, reviews the cameras, and trains the staff to be more attentive and...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Little Havana Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the vibrant atmosphere and warm decor set the stage for a fantastic evening. The menu boasted a delightful array of authentic Cuban dishes, each more tempting than the last.
Our waiter, John, truly elevated our dining experience. His genuine enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of the menu were immediately apparent. He took the time to explain various dishes and offered thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences. Throughout the meal, John was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were always full and checking in to see if we needed anything else.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Ropa Vieja, which John had suggested. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, transporting us straight to the heart of Cuba. The live music and lively ambiance complemented the delicious food, making for an all-around perfect evening.
John's exceptional service and the delightful culinary offerings at Little Havana Restaurant made this a night to remember. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable...
