I had a good feeling about this place once I called and they not only picked up but had good customer service…if you know you know. I then called back because I wasn’t sure what I initially wanted and surprise surprise they picked up again! The person who picked up was friendly and answered my questions. I was told to come in 20 min. When I ordered was 20 min away and still had to wait 30’extra minutes. Yes, Haitian food takes forever as it’s made to order and I understand but it’s still frustrating to have to wait so long. They did apologize and I don’t want to punish them for that. The front of the store is in front of a busy street but There is parking around the corner. Inside is a bit more intimate and not the biggest to sit and eat. We did take out Got the griot platter with a double side of plantains since they didn’t have du Ruiz djon djon. I love that it automatically comes with a side of Mac &cheese as it’s usually an upcharge. Everything tasted good. I do wish the plaintains were flattened more as I like it crispier. The pikliz was good! Griot didn’t have too much fat. Sauce was tasty. I got 2 sides of akra which was fried to perfection and was on point. Not too doughy. Whoever is in the kitchen knows what to do. The Haitian limeade had the right amount of acid. I would definitely recommend...

Last night was my second time eating at this restaurant. I had the special of the day: legume, diri blanc ak sos pwa and banan peze. The legume was as delicious as my mother in law's (I hope she doesn't see this) and as authentic as you can get outside of Haiti. The diri was perfectly cooked and paired with with the sos pwa (I opted for the white bean), it was heaven. All paired with a Cola Courrane and I am back on the island. I would have taken some photos of the plates of food, but I was too hype and immediately started eating. Seating is outside and during the beautiful weather months, definitely adds to the atmosphere. Go check...
Read moreDon’t judge a place by the way the front or the street looks. This was one of my favorite Haitian restaurants. From Chicago to Orlando, Jacksonville and Miami. The customer service was on point. The lady that serves us was very friendly, nice and helpful. The place was small but was clean and the best thing was the food was fresh. Literally you could see her peeling the plantains so you know it wasn’t refried. I appreciate that. The pikliz, the sauce with the rice were delicious. Really that was a great experience and I would...
