Stopped by and had lunch. Ordered the Al Pastor tacos. They were the best I have ever had (moist, pineapple, meaty goodness) ...and there are some good ones in the NMB area. The stock salsa was good and had a nice kick to it, when asked, they brought out a hot version, that appears to use habenero and it has a good flavor as well as be very spicy. The wait staff was top notch and very attentive the newness and cleanliness of the decor and furniture. Will go back again and again, I just hope it does not become too crowded with tourists! Update - after couple of months of weekly lunch patronage. It is still my # 1 for Mexican food in NMB. I try and go 1x per week for lunch. Great staff (love Gomez as the waiter) food has always been excelente! Ask for the different salsas (not on the menu) if you like it spicy, my favorite is the creamy jalapeno, AKA Burn salsa, AKA Salsa Picante dark (this could be a different salsa as it was similar but noticeably darker), (Found out it is actually called Quemada at Adela's). It is made mostly of pureed charred jalapenos is about perfect - as long as you add some salt to it to bring out the flavors beyond spicy. There is a habanero one (way too spicy for me) and a Salsa Verde (tomatillo - is just ok), Iguana salsa (good, could be a pineapple one?), and the excellent stock red salsa has enough freshness and cilantro so you wont confuse it with other Mexican restaurants that try to pawn off Pace Picante sauce on you. Always a big fan of the Al Pastor street tacos. Just tried the Barbacoa (think pulled beef) - and it was tender as all get out!. They are not afraid to include some of the fat with the Al Pastor and Barbacoa which makes it more authentic and gives a richer taste. If you order a Chimichanga order with beef tips and I have been hooked ever since. The only nit I have to pick is their refried beans are just OK - normal for 98% of the Mexican restaurants I have been to. The best tasting refried beans I have found in the area is at Central Mammas in Calabash - that, along with Mama's excellent Pineapple Habenero salsa have not been enough for me to go back after I found Adela's. Update: they now do a 10% off for locals (show your driver license) and for the off season, lunch items are $9.99 ..for all lunch items unless they have steak or shrimp in them. I continue to eat there 1x per week minimum for lunch. Always good food, and I am trying to try everything on the menu. All servers are great, but ask for Alex for over the top service!

I have been wanting to try a new place in town and decided since this location is normally busy we'd give it a try, as soon as you walk in the decor is great along with the atmosphere, we got sat as soon as we walked in and ordered adelas dip ( it was good) and 2 tortas ice tea and soda, and for $16.99 per torta you would think there would be a reasonable amount of protein that you pick chicken or beef (we picked GRILLED CHICKEN which was more like boiled chicken and a total of 11 pieces total on one torta) we ate 1/4 of the torta and left the rest. On top of that we paid with a card and wasn't informed there would be a additional fee for doing so ( being a small business owner myself I wouldn't charge my clientele a fee specially when not informing them first)they say its all due to inflation but not on "CASH" purchases I still haven't seen a inflation of a "processing" fee with any card company . if your looking for authentic Mexican this is not the place if your looking for a experience while on vacation this might be the place for you

Finally we have found a great Mexcan restaurant in NMB! Started with a great ambiance and decor - fantastic lights everywhere. Service from our new friends Kath, our server, and Gerson, the manager was outstanding!! Drinks were delicious, Jalapeno Margarita and Grandrita are definitely recommended. The menu offers something for everyone. My bride was pleased with her delicious carne asada tacos and I FINALLY had my Birrios Tacos - pulled beef tacos (no store bought hard shells) and amazing cheese enchiladas with s traditional enchilada red sauce. Hands down the best Mexican food restaurant in the area. 1.26.24 Gotten even better! Named the Best New Mexican Restaurant on the Grand Strand for good reasons!!! The service we received from Seydi was on point! Friendly, courteous and professional! Birria tacos - OUTSTANDING!.Cheese enchiladas are made with real grated cheese, not the soupy cheese mess that others use. Margaritas hit the spot. My bride's tacos, rice and beans also great! The robot food delivery was too cool!!!

Me and my husband chose to come and eat here from past experience. It's been a while since we have been back here but this experience was absolutely terrible 😔 I would never come back here or suggest for anyone else to dine here. Me and my husband where celebrating our anniversary and we order two ACP dinners and they couldn't get the order right even on the third attempt to full the order had to order a separate order of rice ,because this dish has grilled chicken and Spanish rice and cheese with onions and some bell peppers mixed together. It seems pretty simple to make right, but they where too incompetent to do it correctly or even care too at this point. We also could tell it was the same plate as the first wrong order they did cause it wasn't even warm by then . The way we could tell that it was the same plates was that they brought the order back in less than a minute from sending it back all three times by then we just wanted to try and enjoy the food they gave us. The manager was the one who gave my husband the rice on the side he asked for after the third try. We asked the waitress if we could get the extra cheese dip taken off our order and we will pay for the two dinners in full and the drinks we got where sweet teas. the waitress apologized several times for the messed up orders. The manager did not attempt to come out and apologize for the mistake of this, he acted like he didn't even care or wanted try and fix anything like it was our fault for it. If it was me running a restaurant I would personally apoloigze for the mistake after the third attempt to fix it and I would not give back the same food that was made wrong in the first place. I would also consider it to be unsanitary to keep sending the same plate of food out several times going back and fourth between the kitchen out to the guests. We asked for the food to go that was brought to us because we did pay for it and left a good tip for the waitress. The manager is very rude to us because of all this even though he gave us a discount of $2.34 dollars he acted like he was doing us a generous service, which was quite the opposite of his gratitude for their mistakes. I and my husband will never eat here again and I suggest others should consider this review before the waste the time and money to eat here in the future this place can't take the time to apologize for any of it , maybe consider going somewhere else with good service...

I understand now why there was no wait to be seated while every other restaurant in Myrtle Beach had a wait list.

This place sucks. From the food, to the prices, to the experience.

Normally if I have a bad experience somewhere I try to give them a second chance or the option to correct it while I am still present. Or just don’t go back. But this place was so terrible, and after receiving the check, I feel the need to forewarn others

To begin, food was TERRIBLE. Gross, bland, no flavor whatsoever. I love Mexican food. I have had great Mexican food, good Mexican, mediocre and then I had Adela’s. Which was terrible. Zero flavor. Tortillas weren’t prepared correctly. Beans were flavorless and watery. Sauce was burnt. List goes on.

Service- despite a half empty restaurant, the waitress managed to forget my margarita and our appetizer. Easy upsell to pad the check and help increase her tip. But managed to forget not one, but both items. I thought no big deal, just bring us dinner. Well then dinner comes. It was gross. Despite my disgust with dinner, my daughters wanted dessert. Perhaps it was their way of holding on to hope for a positive experience. After all how bad can you mess up fried ice cream?? Well after waiting, And waiting, And waiting some more, we all decided we just wanted to pay the check and leave.

Perhaps that’s because we were growing fatigued waiting for the check or perhaps it is because we felt very uncomfortable when a random stranger came to our table trying to pressure us into a picture. Weird. We watched as she went to other tables awkwardly trying to force a “ complimentary” picture table side.

Now to the check. We received a check with a total. I handed my credit card to pay. When I received the credit card statement, there was an discrepancy of several dollars more than the original receipt. Charging more than what you are billed for is NOT the way to keep customers coming back.

Perhaps if your establishment delivered better quality food and service, business would be lucrative enough to offset credit card merchant fees. Passing those charges onto to your already dissatisfied customers only nails the coffin into a decision to not return, and to warn others to avoid your...
