I came to this McDonald’s seeking a McChicken. I left questioning the very foundation of state and local governance—caught somewhere between California Proposition 65’s relentless chemical guilt-tripping and Ohio Revised Code Section 3715.52, which I believe is about food misbranding but spiritually feels like a warning about the emotional state of every ketchup packet in this establishment.
First off, I entered the building in compliance with O.R.C. § 2909.07 (criminal mischief), because I did not deface any napkin dispensers, despite temptation. The air inside smelled like fryer oil and possibly a Class B misdemeanor. Probably fine under O.R.C. § 3701.01, but definitely a violation of California’s Proposition 65, which tells me I’m being silently murdered by every fry I consume. Thanks, Gavin.
I sat near the beverage station, which had more stickiness than the legal language of Proposition 24 (consumer privacy), and may or may not violate O.R.C. § 3717.41, which deals with food service cleanliness. A man next to me had a visibly cracked iPhone, a tray of spilled McNuggets, and the defeated posture of someone who voted yes on Proposition 64 (legalizing marijuana) but forgot to follow O.R.C. § 4301.62 (open container law).
The Sprite was so carbonated it could trigger Proposition 12 (farm animal space requirements)—no animals in sight, but I felt ethically confined just sipping it. The ice machine? Allegedly up to O.R.C. § 3717.01 standards, but looked like it moonlights as a war criminal in a frozen beverage tribunal.
There were no less than three posters with font resembling California’s Prop 65 warnings, except they were about “hot coffee may burn” (duh), which I believe is covered by O.R.C. § 2307.71 under product liability. My Big Mac had more layers than Proposition 98 (public education funding), but tasted like O.R.C. § 2921.44 (dereliction of duty), if duty was a beef patty left under a heat lamp since the Bush administration.
I asked for extra pickles. The employee, clearly a veteran of the Proposition 22 wars (gig economy trauma), gave me exactly three, which I suspect violated O.R.C. § 1345.02 (deceptive consumer practices). They slid out of the sandwich like my rights during Proposition 187.
The bathroom? Looked like it had not been compliant with O.R.C. § 3707.01 (public health nuisances) since around Proposition 209 (affirmative action ban). There was a single soap dispenser, partially hanging off the wall, possibly in protest of Proposition 8.
On the way out, I tried to use the Wi-Fi but ended up accidentally consenting to Proposition 24-style data harvesting, and maybe even a clause from O.R.C. § 1349.19, which I think is about identity theft protection, but also possibly curses.
Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a McDonald’s experience that straddles the legal tension between California’s neurotic ballot propositions and Ohio’s painfully specific criminal code, this is your temple. The food? Decent. The compliance? Dubious. The vibe? Pure Proposition 420 meets O.R.C. § 2917.13 (misconduct at...
Read moreI visited this mcdonald's 2/17/2024 around 3pm, ordered food for my family, the young man taking our order at the first window was very kind and well mannered. The women named Sam at the second window giving out the food was the complete opposite. So rude and disrespectful. As soon as we got to the second window she tells us to pull forwards and our food would be brought to us, we asked if we could have our sauces and our 6 drinks before we pulled forward so they wouldn't be forgotten and instantly she got upset, telling us only two of our drinks were rang in then she slammed the window and disappeared for a minute. When she returned she gave us one bag of food that only had two items in it, she handed it to us and shut the window immediately, so we had to sit there and wait for her to come back to tell her the rest of our food was missing. She then just slammed the window shut and disappeared again, after a minute we see her pop back up and she hands our second bag of food to a younger girl to come give to us, that girl was nice, but we asked her for the name of the Women we had been dealing with before because her distasteful behavior, the younger girl was unsure of what to do so she just asked the first women to come back to the window and tell us her name. Once she returned the attitude continued and was even worse, she told us her name was adam and asked if we wanted the number to call and complain, we told her no and she responded by telling us something along the lines of "You look like the type that already has it karen" and slammed the window and walked away. Such classless and distasteful behavior coming from a grown women, it wasn't our fault that she kept messing up our order. Once we got home we noticed our food was also not made properly, for example cheeseburgers that were supposed to only have onion have everything on them. Due to this we decided to call and speak the the manager. We got on the phone with the General Manager Amanda, and she was a delight, very nice and apologetic and great customer service skills. She told us she will replace our meal and also will have a talk with Sam. I am very appreciative of Amanda, and I am sorry certain employees behave like that making the experience unpleasant. General Manager Amanda gets 5...
Read moreI have no clue how this location is even still open. I’m always very hesitant to order from here, but unfortunately it’s the closest McDonald’s through DoorDash. I wish someone could tell me how to choose a different location. Every time my order is messed up. Today, my order was a two cheeseburger meal (burgers, fries, & a large unsweet tea), 10pc McNugget meal (nuggets, sweet & sour dipping sauce, fries, large coke), and a large chocolate milkshake. My dasher was given only one bag at the indoor counter…which contained only the drinks. Bag is sealed so dasher would no know it’s only the drinks, not her fault. Called DD to have new dasher go back to location to retrieve the rest of my order but they couldn’t so with refund had to reorder my food. The time before this, I preferred a Big Mac, but all I received was burger patties and the buns. Had to call store about this and had to go up there to have them remake my order. At that time I even asked the store manager if they read their reviews? The response was yes they do. I replied to that with “well you wouldn’t know it because all the reviews are bad and your performance does not change”. This location in the past couldn’t even fulfill A simple order of two big Mac meals, one with an unsweet tea, the other with a Coke. I have supposedly spoken with the district trainer in the past and they were going to be doing retraining for this location if that has ever happened, it did not stick. They either need to completely shut down this location and or do a complete rest staff with brand new training if they want this location to work properly would not recommend ever going here...
