My boyfriend and I have been really looking forward to trying this spot since moving to this side of town this past month. We randomly stopped in on our way home from the store to even see if they made sandwiches as we weren’t sure if it was only a meats place. We were not greeted with kindness nor any help after announcing it was our first time there by the female employee who was making the sandwiches and would be the one to take our order. We were a bit confused by the menu and changed our mind from ham to turkey, which made her ask us 4 more times with an attitude each time what we wanted. She continued to make our meal turkey sliders and ham biscuits and my boyfriend asked how long she had been there, 5 years she said, then made a rude comment back while he was just curious She has been at this location for 5 years and said this was a “good day for her… but a monday” to which i replied “i could not imagine what a bad day is like” . We voiced our concern to the lack of care and what being in the service industry is about. There was a man working i believe “douglas” helping another guest during our initial interactions. He was very kind and completed the transaction as she made our sandwiches very unwillingly with an eyeroll. I grew up in a family restaurant and have been all throughout the service industry for 12 years now and have never asked for a refund. We ended up doing so and leaving the sandwiches behind. No apology, continued disregard and respect not only towards what would have been return costumers but the business as well, i imagine many do not return because of her.
Would probably go back since we didn’t leave with the food although Douglas offered, we were turned off. & Will definitely avoid her and putting a bad vibe on...
Read moreWarm and friendly staff but cold?... went during the Holidays, so it was a bit of a, rushed experience- sorry to say. The stanchions, (poles with leads for people standing in queue) didn't feel right. Felt like cattle, being pushed along. People waiting on top of one another with that look of distain, if you take to long, or ask a question. I will admit, I must go back to see if this pratice is policy all year round. Perhaps taking a number and seating would suffice? (Would be a much more relaxing atmosphere) Sorry, didn't like it, not a comfortable feeling when the counter person was waiting on me, but looking beyond me at the glares, simultaneously, and when I asked about product they ran out of? No helpful suggestions or alternatives were given. Just an...will that be all, attitude with a smile of course. The excitement of so much more than just Ham, was lost. I spent a lot that day, and was actually mad when I left the store. Don't get me wrong, it shouldn't matter, but in reality? We all know it does. However, Everyone's got potential, to be a regular/frequent customer. With that being said, I plan to visit again... One more try, to be fair...and not during a Holiday, ...we'll see...
Read moreAvoid. I actually like the hams but this local business is too inept to get any more business from me. Last year (2011) I pre-ordered a regular turkey for Christmas and when I came in to pick up my order they informed me that they only had Cajun flavored turkeys left. This year I (2012) I pre-ordered a mini ham and two sides over a week in advance. When I came to pick up my order I was told that they didn t have one of the sides I ordered. Apparently, the owners of this site don t understand the ordering process and have no understanding of the relationship between order fulfillment and good customer service. There is no point to pre-ordering from this shop because they only deliver what they have on hand. There are many competitors these days: Carmine s, Publix, Smithfield, etc. You might do better with one of...
