We decided to give this a try as the reviews were pretty good. Place is open and has that warehouse feel. Noisy because of the openness.
First of all, the beer was very good. They had Coffee Stout, my favorite. My husband enjoyed his and he tried 2 different ones.
The Food:
We started with happy hour onion rings, which were served piping hot with a great dipping sauce.
My husband enjoyed his mussels. Broth was delicious and was served with a nice serving of garlic bread. But honestly, it should have been an appetizer and not an entree.
I had the Open Ravioli which was lacking. I was hoping for something hardy, not so as it was very bland. A light broth with beans, spinach and mushrooms and a cap of a pasta sheet. Not enough mushrooms, which drew me to the dish. It is really a soup and not an entree and should be moved to the soup menu. In addition, it would have benefited from a sprinkling of parmesan and a piece of garlic bread on the side. And be served with a spoon, which it was not. For the price, $15, there were other things on the menu that would have been far better buy and be more filling. I was very disappointed.
We will be back but will stick to beer and happy hour.
Kudos to the servers. Very attentive and...
Read moreLived in Juno for a number of years, back for a Cards game. Over the years I’ve hit all the breweries. This wasn’t here, wish it was.
First the beer, that’s why you’re going right? Stormhouse has a nice menu choice, I think they cover the gamut. Others in the area are IPA focused or kinda funky brewers. I prefer other styles
I went with a pint first, looked at the tap offerings, slid my keys to my wife, and grabbed a flight.
From a session style to higher ABVer, they have it. The green lacto, ecto, or something was good, a unique brew. I think everyone will find something.
The location is nice, plenty of parking, easy in and out. Heck, if the bridge is up, have a beer. Plenty of bar room, indoor and outdoor seating. Gotta add, the setting sun is blocked by the building, that’s a big plus for outdoor seating.
Food, yup. Started with pretzel bites. It was a cut up BIG pretzel. Was odd at first but better for sharing. Beats having someone’s sneeze catcher ripping off hunks. Right? Enjoyed the beer cheese dip.
I went bacon cheese burger with fries. Burger done as ordered. The fries? Nice portion, 5 more minutes in the fryer would have made...
Read morePhil. What a guy. The nicest--I mean THE nicest--most attentive, generous-hearted manager I have ever come accross. Anywhere. Not to mention, the man is a magician, conjuring morsels of delicousness out of thin air. Let me explain. I was visiting the Palm Beach area from Toronto and among the must-see stops that my friend recommended was Stormhouse Brewing. He had been raving about their Brussel sprouts for months and so I knew that I simply could not leave Florida without having a taste of my own. As luck would have it, at the time of my visit, Florida was undergoing a state-wide shortage. When Phil caught wind of our story, of how highly anticipated these Brussel sprouts were for us, he took it upon himself to dig to the bottom of deep-freeze abyss and came up with just enough sprouts to serve a near-to-full bowl. Not only that, he cooked them himself. And very well, I might add. The manager. Cooked. And served. You see how beyond "above and beyond" this is, right? Phil doesn't just deserve a raise or a promotion, he deserves to be appointed ambassador of what Florida has done right. Absolutely love this place and the...
