Golden Crown Cookies & Mochi Donuts — Restaurant in North Richland Hills

It’s been 8 months since I last reviewed here and I’ve been going way more than that. Things have changed like new brown sugar milk tea and now the smoothies and I have been loving all of it. The menu can be a lot especially when it’s your first time there so I love that they’ve added a sample box. My favorite things to get there are probably the toffee coffee and maple pecan mochi donuts, their matcha milk tea with tapioca pearls, and their Nutella Biscoff cookie! Last week I went in to try their Easter flavors and I loved the strawberry bunny mochi donut!! The lemon poppy seed cookies are to die for also! They use fresh squeezed lemon for it!! The quality of this shop continues to be amazing because the owners are always willing to take the extra time to perfect all of their food! I personally like coming to Golden Crown over other boba shops like the Feng Cha that just moved in because imo almost all of Golden Crown boba tastes better than Feng Cha and for a better price. Picture this, you go to Krispy Kreme or Shipleys and you have a donut or two with the fam. Sounds fun in premise right? Well 10 minutes later, when your hands are sticky, you have that weird taste in your mouth, and your stomach has that feeling that makes you want to go home, lie in bed, and lose consciousness. Now your family wishes they had never even thought of getting donuts. But then, in an alternate reality, you guys stumble across Golden Crown, like me and my sister just did. You go inside, and decide to get a Mochi donut each and some boba tea for fun. Now, 10 minutes later in the car, your family is raving about how amazing the donuts were, as Golden Crown’s donuts have no sticky quality to have you searching for a napkin, no weird taste in your mouth that makes you want a glass of water, and a low sugar count that leaves your tummy out of the experience unscathed. I absolutely love this place! I love donuts and it’s the only place around you can get donuts after 12pm and their mochi donuts are amazing. I stop in at least once a week😅 My favorite is the coffee donut, although I will say I liked it a lot better before they added the biscoff topping so I’m trying new flavors hoping to find a new favorite. Either way, it’s a great quick stop right by work when I need a sweet tooth fix! The Crown Milk boba tea is my favorite milk tea I’ve tried from anywhere and the boba is the perfect texture. I hadn’t tried their cookies yet, but yesterday I had a swamped day at work and couldn’t leave to get anything to eat so I decided to door dash a couple of donuts and a tea to the salon and they gave me a free cookie! It was such a sweet surprise. I believe the cookie was chocolate chip and it is a delicious chocolate chip cookie! The staff is always very welcoming and greet you with a smile.
