Update 2 weeks later: I’m so impressed with how well this gel mani held up. No chips, lifts, or breaks and I was not kind to my hands in the last two weeks. I washed, dogs, dishes, and my 4 year old, and scrubbed floors and removed trim from my walls. I’m also very pleased with how Kevin removed the gel. As previously stated in my initial post, I’m very aware of my nail health and am delighted that Kevin took care and time to GENTLY remove the gel and prep for my new color. Runway has corned the market in natural nail colors and had just the right one to give me the no polish polished look I wanted. I’m obsessed. Having lost faith in the nail industry and tired of feeling like a number to people that just didn’t listen or care, I used to just get my basic mani and paint my nails myself in between. However, I needed to get my dip removed (weak moment prior to vacation) and wanted to see if the nail market had something else to offer. I had come across the CUTEST nail art design and searched for a ā€œnail salon nail art near meā€ and Runway came up. Having read through both the good and bad reviews, I thought I would try them out since most negative reviews were around pricing. I figured it absolutely couldn’t be worse than anywhere else, and maybe I could get that cute design since they specialize in nail art. I had my 4 yr old in tow and showed up early. I was accommodated right away and wasn’t looked at strangely for having my kid with me. I showed him my design and Kevin said ā€œno problemā€. He was careful and diligent about how he was removing the dip (which was thick and awful from a different salon). I told him the challenges I have been having recently with my natural nails and he was sparing with the buffer. Conversation was lovely and the whole removal, mani, and design were done efficiently and with an extreme attention to detail. Some reviews commented that pricing is high. I have no idea where these folks go that Runway’s pricing is high for them. These prices are less than most salons I have visited and right in line with a few others in the area. If you’ve read this far, please do see Kevin at Runway. I can vouch for his work and customer service.

Amazing experience, very clean, very kind welcoming staff. Definitely my favorite place in dfw! The Jelly pedicure is so fun!

TLDR: Not worth the cost. Customer service was average. Staff was friendly but never introduced themselves, so unfortunately, I dont know if I got all the good techs other reviews have raved about. The atmosphere was unpleasant- after sitting for a few minutes the heat and lack of air movement hits you, I could hear banging around going on next door, flies buzzing around (gross!), oh and the can of RAID sitting next to the supplies and tools was a nice touch. The service was average, but I was confused when the lady who had prepped my nails had to switch for the guy to apply the powder. I came in asking for a dip manicure, but when he saw the nail extensions, the guy told me they were too long for that service and had to be acrylic. Absolute lie! I've had sets longer than this hold up for weeks with a dip powder service. My natural nail and nail beds are a good length. But what do you know, the acrylic costs more... The lady switched back to me for the finger painting on of the glitter and top coat. She noticed the glitter left on my skin and tried to use the NAIL FILE to remove it! That didn't work so she rubbed on some cuticle oil and called it good. Didn't bother asking for the jagged edges to be filed down more since this "almond" shape needed some extra shaping at home. The final nail result is average but certainly not worth the $70 in my opinion. Couldn't get out fast enough and won't be back.

I went here a couple of weeks ago. My usual place isn't open late and I needed a new set of nails and a pedi asap for a company party I was attending the next evening. I went online, read all of these amazing reviews, how everyone should go see Kevin, and saw it is open past 8. I made an appointment online to sit with Kevin. When I get there I was hardly greeted when I walked in. I told them I had an appointment with Kevin at 6:45 and the three people who were working there just looked at me like they didn't understand me. I was sat down to get my pedi, I was handed the book of colors and the lady walked away. She came back with a small bowl to soak my nails while the gentleman started on my toes The lady then began to use some tool to scrape off my previous set of nails. Apparently there is only one dremel they could use between the both of them and he was using it on my toes. She ended up scraping and damaging my actual nail beds and I repeatedly told her it was hurting me. She ignored me and continued her process. I sat while she did that off and on for 45 mins. Then the younger man eventually came over to finish my nails. I got red and he did one dip of red on each finger then used the clear white powder to finish them. I understand it's a new company and they are probably trying to save and cut spending but my nails looked like trash after he was done. The place was hot and uncomfortable, flies and bugs were flying around, bug spray was on the sink where I had to wash my hands. Two of the employees either didn't speak any English or chose not to answer me when I had a question. I was in there for almost 2 hours, during that time 3 other women walked in and were sat down. I felt bad that they would have to go thru the miserable process I just went thru with my nails. One woman was left to soak her nails for so long she just left after someone finally went back to check on her. When I went to pay everything was a $5 up charge yet there was a 15% off if you did mani and pedi together. I paid close to $100 for garbage, I got a basic pedi that was supposed to have a 5 min foot massage, that didn't happen. The man just squeezed my calves and that was it. The tips I got with my dip set was an additional $5 yet they cut them so short it was down to the length of my natural nail that they cut off to begin with.

Over all, I think the 4.7 star review for this place is fake. There is no way all those 4 star reviews are real. Ladies, do not go here. This place is awful and I will never go back. Don't be fooled by all the reviews. I don't even know if it was Kevin who actually helped me. He is the one mentioned in all the...

HONEST REVIEW of the good and not so good! Gotta start by saying that Kevin, does BEAUTIFUL nails. I came in for a pedi, but decided to get a fill too and he turned my holiday glitter nails into milky pink beauty. He is thorough, does an amazing job shaping them, and listened when I felt they needed an extra coat for coverage.

What could improve, is that after my nails were done, there was quite a bit of cured gel on the skin around my nails. If they could be cleaned better prior to curing, that would solve this. My pedicure was pretty standard and Kevin's mom was very nice. I personally just prefer a deeper level of massage and callus removal when getting a pedi. The pressure was too light, and my feet felt a bit scratchy after the pedicure. The colors offered were beautiful, and the result was nice though.

It was warm inside but as soon as I mentioned something, they propped open the door for me and it cooled down right away. I did notice a few fruit flies, which is odd for winter, but nothing infuriating like some of these Karens lol.

I love my nails, like my toes, and I'll probably be back because Kevin really does a great job giving you what you want. My main harp, is that I got a hands and feet done together and wasn't given the 15% off, even though I was only there for a pedi. They'll keep customers longer if they're more forward about their promotions.

Overall, it's worth it. Give...
