ALDI — Local services in North Richland Hills

First and last time to go here. I was interested in the concept of Aldi and finally drug my wife to pick up something on sale. We'll, we found the one product, store was in a disarray, and headed for checkout. One register open and a few people in line. Lady in front offered us to move up because we only had one item. We're watching cashier. He doesn't acknowledge ANY of the customers and literally picks up his phone and has a text chat. Then would scan a couple products, then pick up his phone while customer paid. The other customers and I were completely taken aback. So our turn comes, he doesn't even acknowledge us, and then picks up phone. I didn't even know there was a transaction until I looked at keypad. He didn't look up one time. Head in the phone. I so wanted to talk with Mgr, but this guy is allowed to be this way because of management, so that would accomplish zero. Why wouldn't you have self checkout in a place like this? The cashiers just sit in a chair and scan. Heck, anyone could do it and I'd offer my own self better customer service. Anyway, he even mis-charged the sale item, but I just didn't want to deal with this dude any longer. We bailed and both my wife and I just felt we had been pranked, it was that bad. Anyway, this place is ridiculous. Too many other options and I'm ok to spend $0.32...

(I leave the cart outside the rack - free for the next guy.) 😋Look around and study the labels. They do have some major brands you know. I buy the major brand of Kefir (liquid yogurt) there and save over $1 quart! To save money, try the Aldi brand - you will recognize the original brand they “almost” match - but with a lower price. The savings add up fast! Produce is beautiful, fresh and cheaper! Eggs and milk - cheap! Yes, they have your fav ice cream. Things like frozen, family-size dinners are great! You won’t believe the meat prices - and a huge cheese selection. Stores are more compact, rest-rooms CLEAN - no space wasted on brand displays, canned veggies are still in the box so stock up. And you can always find a parking space up close - because ALL the parking is close. Be ready - checkout is so fast, they will finish before you can pull out your wallet and grin at the total. This is a wonderful Audi to shop at always clean. Employees are very kind and hard-working. The only bad thing about this Audis is there's a lot of people that come near the shop and seem to have no respect for the elderly. That was an elderly woman behind me and I had a cart full of groceries and she only had one item. I allowed her to go ahead of me one because she had one item and two because she was an elderly woman. People are somewhat upset by this which surprised me but then again it did not. It's sad that people are so selfish that they want the world to consider them and they family if they was in that situation, but they don't have the same compassion for others. Thank God that the staff there is so awesome and great to working in an environment with selfish people shopping. Not all of them are but at least 50% of them. But I do recommend that you do come here for your groceries cuz of some nice clean space and ignore and turn the other cheek if you encounter any of them....
