City Diner is fast becoming my fave lil' breakfast spot. Very neighborhood feeling here, sometimes I see the same regulars too. My grandma is no longer on this great planet, but somehow I feel her cooking when I eat here. Expect to wait on the weekends if you shall grace us with your presence after 10am. The staff is always super awesome and they all seem to get along well, which is unusual, but l'll take it! I don't think my coffee cup has ever reached just below halfway (as if there's someone in the back with an alarm that goes off to get to your at that near decrement level). I have been here easily now about 10 times since my first visit late summer this year. It's almost always hustlin' and bustlin' here. More often times than not, I find myself going one of two ways. Either corned beef hash and eggs with toast, or I get the potato pancake breakfast "sandwich" which is two homemade (enter someones Grandma here!!) potato pancakes stuffed with two eggs, choice of meat, and cheese. If this is your breakfast, plan on skipping lunch. While this is not a fancy place, it's a damn good neighborhood joint where you feel at home, you can comfortably wear your sweats, and not spend too...

We had high hopes for this place, considering other reviews on here. Unfortunately, our experience was not positive, from the long time it took to be seated (many open tables), to the hostess that clearly wanted to be anywhere else. Our waitress was friendlier but clearly distracted. ( maybe because she forgot her teeth).Other patrons who got there way after us got food way before us. When the food finally came out, it was mediocre. Southwest skillet was just a little omelet on top of a few potatoes. Simple breakfast was just that. Nothing special. Waitress never checked back except to bring a check. We were never thanked. Even the cashier couldn't say thank you or have a nice day. We'll never eat there again, definitely not worth it. We do not...

First time ordering here. The food was gross. -Country stacker...skip it, just a mess. -Grilled chicken? Slimey and not grilled. -Mashed potatoes bland, not good. Probably instant or boxed. -Meatloaf was okay, probably the best thing I ordered, but very average at best. -I ordered a cheeseburger because of the rather decent reviews....not the worst ive had, but tasted funny. So nope. -Potato skins...hard no. Potatoes with melted cheese and a few pieces of bacon. Potato pancakes...no thanks. Not the best. Fries were okay. Soup wasn't for me, came in a cup too.

Have to give it a 2/10 at best for a deli. The food was just weird, not edible and had to get a refund...

We were in the area for a soccer game and we're looking for a local restaurant to eat at afterward and came across City diner. It had excellent ratings and I can see why. She chose the Alfredo while I had a traditional breakfast of eggs and French toast. Both were delicious. The service was great and quick. They have a small outdoor dining area, although it was not open on the day of our visit. We will definitely return if in the area again. The menu has a wide selection and the cost is pretty much equivalent to going to fast food nowadays.

Family owned and operated, way out in the sticks, but homey and popular with plenty of comfort food on the menu. Service is quick and attentive, portions are big and the prices are reasonable. If you get there early, you'll have the place to yourself.
