Food is slightly above mediocre at best (hash brown are undercooked and greasy), but the service is atrocious. Got my takeout order wrong twice on my last pickup attempt (still tried to charge me a tip after I said to remove), and ignored me today. Waited well over 5 minutes out front while multiple staff members ignored me and my food got cold.
Postscript: Decided to give them a couple of more tries, but they've gotten my last 5 orders in-a-row wrong, and one of them was uncooked meat which is dangerous. Avoid this place for takeout like the plague.
Response below isn't true. First they got my order wrong by giving biscuits and gravey instead of what I ordered. Went and got the replacement, and they didn't toast my bread or give me butter. They also didn't reverse the tip like I asked. The next order I got the sausage links weren't cooked (still pink in the middle...it is undeniable...I have a witness). For the last two orders they didn't toast the bread at all, and they forgot butter on the other. I kept trying to give them another chance, but I am done. And, by-the-way, this is a horrible reponse from the business. If I were another customer I wouldn't go just based on this. Getting the order right, making sure it is cooked to the point that it's safe to eat, and getting basics like your bread toastes are pretty basic...
Read moreMaybe an off day for this stop but I'd pass on this one.
We tried the huevos rancheros, the nutella and fruit crepes, and the 3 meat empanadas.
We were super hopefully going into this place as our usual morning place for empanadas doesn't open until 8am but sadly I think the biggest let down was the empanadas. They are big that's for sure however they aren't empanadas in the true sense. They are like a thin scone dough that is folded over like a calzone style. The mix was average to slightly above.
The oil it's fried in tasted burned and / or old or perhaps it was in a very used cast iron skillet. Either way if you're gonna get this you'll probably end up just eating the mix and leaving the 'breading'.
The green and red sauces on this dish were the highlight.
The crepes were, well, average. The whipped cream was the highlight if that says anything.
The huevos rancheros were made to order, + there. However I was definitely underwhelmed. When compared to other options I'd say a 3.
The service was GREAT and the place is really fantastic inside. Although easy to miss from the street.
But overall I'd give this...
Read moreWe came to "Our Kitchen Cafe" recommended by a friend, and with high recommendations, specifically to try the "Chilaquiles", the food was amazing, the portions were vast, the seasoning was great, serving time was amazing, fast and well, the freshly squeezed orange juice was remarkable, but the waitress service.... Let me put it this way..., she could have done a much better job, she didn't show a single smile, didn't even try to make us feel welcome, every time she came to our table she seemed to be bothered to take care of us, anyway... We tipped thinking in the whole crew cook, cashier, busboy, but the waitress...Nop We definitely will go back for the food, but not for service of that particular waitress. I am sharing my feedback to help the owners and management, so they can train their waitresses, because they have everything to be a business that can grow fast and be successful, but that poor service can easily bring their...
