This Del Taco did the MOST. On a dreary November evening, all I wanted were caramel cheesecake bites, but alas, it was 10:45 pm. I knew that Del Taco would deliver. Tragedy struck when the Bountiful location employee announced over the speaker "we close now", turning us away with empty bellies and broken hearts; closing a full hour early, at 11pm despite their hours being updated a month ago to be open until 12 am, denying us service AND joy. A quick Google search revealed that this Del Taco, that was less than 2 miles away, was still open until 2 AM. I pleaded with every God in existence that my journey would not be in vain. We made the treacherous drive; it took a whole 7 minutes. My spirit was lifted when I saw that all the lights were on as I raced to the drive thru. Upon reaching the speaker box, we were greeted with a cheerful "may I take your order?" and I wept with joy. After my order was placed and I drove to the window, I was greeted by a LOVELY lady with a dazzling smile. A typical exchange of money for food was made, but food was not the only thing I received when I was handed my bag. The heavens opened and said "you deserve this, eat your cheesecake bites and burrito and be at peace." And I did. My burrito was so fresh and so satisfying. And the cheesecake bites that haunted my mind for a full 30 minutes were so decadent. It's now 11:40 pm, and I will go to sleep happy tonight. Honestly had I had cash on me, I would have tipped $10 bucks based on the sole fact this location was open. So, in conclusion, girl who worked today (11/2/21 at 11:25 pm) THANK YOU for blessing my Taco Tuesday. You are appreciated, and I will...
Read moreUpdate/Revision. I am updating and revising this review to provide more insight to the North Salt Lake Del Taco and Del Taco in general (other places). In my previous post, I discussed the issue with the Fiesta Pack at the NSL Del Taco. Kudos to the Corporate Del Taco Internet branch for reaching out to me and remedying the situation. For that, I am raising the stars for the food and atmosphere for the other Del Taco locations, i.e. the Bountiful restaurant. I have since gone back to OTHER Del Taco locations (i.e. the Bountiful restaurant) and have gotten much better service and quality. I will NEVER return to the NSL Del Taco location and for comparison purposes, here is why: unlike the NSL Del Taco, the Bountiful one 1) does not skim on its servings (rather than a skinny burrito, the Bountiful folks pack their burritos and tacos with a bountiful of fillings; 2) the Bountiful restaurant is also much faster in getting the food to you and getting you on your way rather than the NSL one; and 3) the atmosphere and employees at the Bountiful restaurant seem to care and be more attentive than the NSL one. For the above reasons, I will continue to frequent the Del Taco in Bountiful but again, never am I planning on going back to the NSL one even though it is much closer...
Read moreThis location is probably the worst location I've ever been to. I had some life changes that put me working in this locations area for a while now. I've made attempts 5 different times to procure food from them. In two of the scenarios, I was the only customer in the drive through, and near as I could tell, at the restaurant at all. Took a few minutes just to have someone acknowledge me waiting to place an order. From there, many multiple minutes to come to the window for payment, and probably close to double that.. for a couple bean and cheese burritos?! One order of which I wouldn't have called edible, but frustrated and tired, I just threw them away. Thinking maybe it's the people on that particular shift, I wouldn't recommend the early morning hours either. In my other 3 attempts, between 4-6am, you'll get the standard couple minute wait for someone to acknowledge you at the drive through.. just to have them come on and say "oh uh our system is down, I can't take your order".. then why are you advertising you're open 24 hours if the whole function behind you being open isn't possible? 0/10, actively recommending nobody go here until major...
