If you have a choice between this location and the Bountiful location, go to Bountiful. The staff here were rude, unhelpful and dishonest. On the other hand, the folks over in Bountiful are great!
The dishonesty: I asked my wife to grab a jack stand on her way home from work (yes, she's great) but she picked up with wrong model. I moved it from the back of her car to the back of mine and returned it to the store with receipt in hand. The packaging still had the plastic straps around the box securing it closed (the kind you must cut off to open the lid). It was obvious it hadn't been used. The manager insisted they cut the straps off to confirm that it hadn't been used. Of course, the employee was embarrassed when he opened the box and saw that everything was wrapped in it's original packaging. Then, they said that it had to be returned as damaged. This didn't affect my refund, but it was a dishonest characterization of the return unless, of course, AutoZone sold me a "damaged" product at full price initially.
As for the jack stand, I'll be getting one from Costco. Better jack for less money (in my opinion) and apparently way less hassle.
I'll be going to the Bountiful location in the future and am glad that this particularly rude manager is no longer there. If you go to the Bountiful store, you can also stop by O'Reilly's or Napa if needed--they are all close by.
Edit: the manager that helped me was NOT Jorge Ramos. That guy is awesome and it's too bad he's no longer in Bountiful. I should also add that I ended up going to this store twice this week and both times had a...
Read moreI normally don’t review anything often, but the experience I had last night at AutoZone made me really want to share.
For background: my wife was in the hospital with our newborn, and I had just left the hospital briefly to get us some food and snacks before returning to them.
After getting our snacks and starting to head back to the hospital, my Forester started throwing every warning light imaginable at me, and basically put itself in safe mode, limiting a lot of features. I knew this might be the sign of a dying battery.
I get to AutoZone 15 minutes before closing. I have one of the associates (can’t remember his name) come out and test the battery. The reading came back as a dead battery.
They’re just about to close, but I tell them my situation.most importantly, I’d personally like to thank Xander for staying 20 mins past closing for helping me install the battery to get me on the way to the hospital as quickly as possible.
I couldn’t be more grateful for both of the associates for going above and beyond in such a wild situation I was in. Thank...
Read moreWe called ahead to confirm they had a part. The guy said yes, and we told him we are on our way to get it. We show up and the young dude that we talked to on the phone tonight, and he was sitting down with no part ready. He searched for 10 min or more, it seemed, and kept asking us for the part number. Finally he goes and gets the other guy that was in the back working (named Joseph) and then the young dude just comes back to the front and sits down and plays on his phone the whole time while Joseph did his job. I just have to say to the first guy, "Why are u even working here? And to the boss, you should give Joseph a raise for his amazing work abilities and customer service 👏 🙌 5 stars for Joseph and 1 star for the young guy pretnding to...
