This was my second time eating at this fairly new restaurant. I had some friends and family who raved about this place and had to give them a try. The first time I went was on a Saturday morning with my family and we were seated fairly quickly but waited over an hour for our food. All of our dishes were cold and a couple of items did not taste good at all. I had avocado toast and it was good even though it was cold. My niece had the mini waffle with the homemade caramel sauce and you can tell that the caramel is really homemade. The customer service was good so I decided to give them another try with my hubby last night. We got there around 6:30 and the restaurant closes at 8. There were still several people coming in to eat but it wasn't packed. We were seated right away and our server came to take our orders right away. I went with the Cubano sandwich and it did not disappoint. My sandwich was nice and hot and oh so so good! I could not stop raving about that sandwich. It was really delicious. My husband didn't quite have the same experience with his meal. He ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns. He paid extra for the hash browns but got what looked like half serving. His food was warm but not hot and tasted pretty mediocre. We also noticed that the burgers and sandwiches only come with fries and it's $3 extra if you'd like a cup of soup. We did think this was a bit pricey seeing as you can go to The Wheel or Round the Clock and for the same price get a bowl soup included with your meal. Their lunch and dinner entrees are also on the more pricey side. I would say if you come on a Saturday or any other morning to be aware of a longer wait time for your food to arrive at the table. My mom has eaten here three times for breakfast and it has happened to her every single time. Since my food was good both times I would give this place another try. If they read their reviews I hope that they work on serving the customers that are in the restaurant first over filling takeout orders. There is really no reason why anyone should wait over an hour for eggs, sausage and hash browns unless they're coming straight from the farm.

I don't think the residents of Highland and Munster realize or appreciate what a true gem of a restaurant they have in Chiro's Family Restaurant. After about four visits for breakfast there, I am convinced that this place needs and deserves way more exposure and business.

There are a number of popular and commonly visited breakfast places around Highland, and without question I feel that Chiro's should be given top billing.

Their kitchen staff and servers clearly take pride in their work, with excellent attention to detail, very delicious food cooked to perfection, and even an excellent touch of presentation that just makes the whole experience come together. I always leave here with a full belly and a smile on my face.

So many other breakfast places can't even get the simple things right like hash browns (Chiro's are properly browned and very tasty), scrambled eggs (Chiro's are perfectly cooked, fluffy, and golden yellow), and even simple bacon (Chiro's bacon is never undercooked or fatty, nor is it burnt to a crisp). Chiro's nails this stuff perfectly every time. So many places I've been to are sloppy and careless and can't even get those basic items right. Chiro's gets it right. That attention to detail matters to customers.

Even the rich flavor of their coffee is proof that they don't settle for average, run-of-the-mill bulk coffee. Again, that little stuff matters.

Chiro's, keep on doing what you're doing. I will definitely be back there more often.

New visitors, try one of their phenomenal skillets. I'm a big fan of their Fiesta...

It was an absolutely horrible experience! we tried to dine, in my husband, myself, and our daughter, our 22nd anniversary we ordered drinks and sat and waited for about 45 minutes for our food, I was willing to continue to sit but my husband wanted to leave, so he got the waitress attention And by the way she never did a follow up came to our table your food will be out shortly and it'll just be a few more minutes none of that I had to get her attention and ask her how much longer it was as though our food was just sitting back there and then when I said something and then when he said we didn't want it then they start to bring the food and my husband said just ring us up for what we had we don't want the food then the food was on its way Long story short they try to force us to pay for the entire bill all the food when we didn't even touch the food the food never made it to our table I tried to get the manager to ring Me up for what we did consume and he refused we called the police on each other the police came long story short after they talked to him he said I don't want their money I just don't want them back here my pleasure to not go back there they suck their service sucks and he could have just taken the money rung me up for what we consumed but he refused only to then not even want us to pay for that good...
