Royal Tea Boba & Poke — Restaurant in North Township

I stopped here for lunch this afternoon and was very excited to try the bubble tea at this place. Plus it's just around the corner from my place.

The shop is a bit small. But you can order at the counter or the machine. There is a sign on the counter about their tea being very sweet.

I got a small Royal Bubble Tea with Tapioca pearls. I got 30% sugar, which tasted perfect. It was just lightly sweetened. The cup itself held a good amount of the tea. I can't imagine how big the large is compared to the small.

I also got a shrimp poke bowl with cucumbers,brown rice, soucy mayo, and sesame seeds. It was really good. It kind of looked like a work of art with the spicy mayo and sesame seeds drizzled on top. There are so many options you can choose from to mix in your bowl.

Overall, I really enjoyed the tea and the bowl. It got pretty busy after I ordered, so the line almost curved out the door and I had to wait quite a bit for my order. Since they just opened, it's understandable while they work out the timing of everything. I'll...

Missing a 10 oz milk tea drink and two macaroons. Someone named Maria was being helpful at first and advised me to come in and get it replaced. When I called to come pick up some guy in background whispered and then changed their mind. So I’m out of $20.

Please be careful when ordering from this location and definitely make sure your Boba tea is not room temperature because if it’s made with milk that could go really bad quickly.

This establishment just called me. So I thought they were going to provide customer service. Instead they informed me that Maria was wrong for offering me a replacement for my missing drink and that the employee will be getting written up. She proceeded to holler and yell over me. Mind you, she is the one who called back to discuss the order.

Update: The owner acted as if she was remorseful about the situation and would provide a refund however, we haven’t heard back from her. Once she provides a refund I will update this...

A few days ago on Friday, my sister ordered a drink from this place and it was never given to her and the person name Maria offered for her to come in. Eventually there was some back-and-forth and the store manager said that she would provide my sister with a refund.

It’s Monday and nobody has reached out to my sister to offer her a refund or replacement order or anything

Instead, I log onto Google five star reviews that this business has posted up.

After this, I’m going to have to report them for the Room temperature milk Boba tea they try to sell.
