I’d say this restaurant is a bit off the beaten path. It’s right off a main road, but you have to turn into a little plaza area to find it. I had the Fat Burrito in Crown Point. I had a feeling this one would be better than the Crown Point restaurant. I dined in here with my girlfriend and dog. They didn’t give any issues with us bringing our service dog inside, which was a plus. We got to choose where to sit. We sat in a corner-type booth.
They brought us Chips and Salsa after a bit. The Chips were alright, but the Salsa was great. It was blended very nicely. I ordered a Diet Pepsi and we ordered a Medium Lime Margarita On The Rocks, a Large Guacamole, a Burrito (Beef), and a Fat Burrito (Grilled Chicken). The Burrito was a 13 inch flour tortilla with beans, cheese, sour cream, and tomato. The Fat Burrito included the same lineup, but with melted cheese and red or green sauce. I chose red sauce. I also got the beans in the side, instead of inside the Burrito.
The Diet was smooth. The Lime Margarita was fantastic! It was served chilled as if it was handmade, shaken, and thrown into an ice-cold freezer for a few minutes. The salt around the rim was presented nicely and amped up the Lime taste tremendously. This was the best Margarita I’ve ever had. I surely didn’t expect to have it here. The Guacamole was served in a good size bowl. It was full of flavor and the avocados were mashed nicely. The Beef Burrito was pretty good. It’s not something I’d want as my full dinner item, so I’m glad we were sharing everything. The Grilled Chicken Burrito was really good. It had melted cheese and red sauce mixed on top, which surprisingly, went really well together to add flavor to the whole burrito. I also didn’t expect the Chicken Burrito to be as good as it was. Of course, we also got another Medium Margarita, the same style.
The service was okay. I wasn’t too impressed for the restaurant only having us and another party seated at the same time to my knowledge. There were two females who assisted our table, which did help for what it’s worth. I feel they can definitely improve on their service.
Overall, they have the greatest Margarita I’ve ever had and some pretty good scattered food items. I’d like to try a different meat in a burrito if I...
Read moreI have ordered food from this place for several years. Overall the food is good and the service is as well. I ordered food for take out today and asked for no mushrooms as I previously have done. When I arrived home there were mushrooms in my food. This happened in the past and I called to express the issue and my food was prepared without mushrooms. Today when I called about the same issue I was told the manager would give me a call back. I received a text message from an unknown number, apparently the manager saying the item that I ordered comes with mushrooms and that’s how they make it and it can’t be served another way. Sorry for the inconvenience. I thought it was rude and lacked customer service to text a customer back regarding an issue that was expressed with their order. It could have been handled differently with a phone call back expressing the same issue and shared the persons taking the order was not aware and make changes moving forward. I then also found out after they sent the message my number was blocked from responding. Though I never intended to respond back in a text I thought it was rude, insensitive and lacked accountability. I won’t return again due to this incident and disregard to the lack of recovery to...
Read moreSimply put, this is the best Mexican place in the area. No other restaurant can compare, and believe me, I've been to all of them multiple times .
That burrito is not as much as a restaurant, but A place for a pilgrim to go and recharge themselves in the testament of excellent Mexican food
I've had the entire menu twice over and with one small exception it's all incredible. Very fresh while still scratching that itch for a nice heavy Mexican meal we all feel from time to time. Their specials are also very good, offering up menudo and posole soup on the weekends and drink specials throughout the week. Their margaritas are fantastic.
Service is also very good. Even when we went, accidentally, on Cinco de Mayo, we never had to wait more than 20 minutes from the moment we sat down to when we were eating. And the staff are friendly and remember who you are. At least, they remembered us because we were going there at least once a week for a while
It's hard to go to other Mexican places now that I know fat burrito is here. They are that good. And something I can recommend to anyone who even thought that tacos were...
