Baums Natural Foods — Restaurant in North Township

I used to be a frequent visitor to Baums when I lived in NW Indiana. I’ve gone a few times the last few months when I come to visit my father, to take him to get his vitamins. Today I visited and was, for the first time, met with some slightly unpleasant and unhelpful attitudes. Instead of helping me find what I needed the lady just pointed at where I should find it (mind you, the store wasn’t busy at all) I kept trying to pronounce what I was trying to find and she said “it should be somewhere in there, no help.” An older Caucasian man came in a minute after me and asked for some vitamin and the other lady took him straight to it and even grabbed some bottles for him to choose, took him to register and helped him out. Has something changed? Do some get help and others don’t? My father stood there amazed as to what I went through wondering why I was treated this way. Another lady came in a little after and it’s as if they quickly attended her. Let’s just say this is the last time I’ll be going there. Pros: great selection of supplements and beauty products Cons: cashier clerk saw me waiting to check out, but completely ignored me. She chose to assist a lady who was not sure what cream to buy for literally 20 minutes, while I was standing waiting. Later on, cashier clerk ran to answer the phone call to her station.
