First and last time coming here. Sad experience and hostile environment. Been planning to go to Emilios for awhile now because I was told they have live music, good food, and good margaritas. Made reservations for 7pm. Some of our party was a few minutes late. Very big nice building inside with hispanic restaurant painted on the walls. We had a party of 5 two were running (10min) late. I came in to let the host know that half our party was here but was willing to see if we can be seated until our other guest arrived. Host was very rude and nasty towards me and my guest. Saying that next time she will not allowed this to happen and it was frown upon that my party wasn’t here and it’s an event night and I should know better. Very shocked at how she talked and represented herself for this restaurant. I wanted to leave immediately but because we had other guest and they really wanted to “enjoy” this place we stayed. The night became worst. No way should a person be working here the way she acted the whole time we was there. You would have thought the place was crowded. It was not! The host crammed us all together in a booth and we couldn’t even see the live band/music. The live music consist of two people singing older songs from 50s-80s but with the same beat same key tempo of music. It was loud for sure couldn’t even talk among the people at the table and couldn’t hear our waitress. But it was Nothing to get up and dance about. I saw a table next to us that said reserved and I asked our waitress could we move there and I said maybe that’s our table since we made reservations. Waitress went and got the host. Oh boy was we in for treat. NOT! She was even more rude. I tried explaining to the host but she cut me off in mid sentence very rude again and told me no it was for someone else this the only place we could be seated. Mind you our party had been there from 7pm-10pm and not one person was seated at this “reserved” table. So now I started to think host was being racist. Walking pass us and side eyeing our table. Why would you treat and talk to people like this. Some of our food was very spicy and some was bland. I order a Carne asade. Don’t bother ordering any margaritas it had no alcohol taste like water down foaming juice. FYI!! If you do dine here bring cash. They charge an hefty percentage when using credit card. Our meal in total was about 138 and using credit card it would have been 146. This is not included for the waitress “tip” either. That is separate. They also do not do separate transactions. You either pay with cash or credit card for one bill. Definitely lost my respect and...
Read moreYesterday, I visited this establishment for the first time. I had heard that bingo was enjoyable and the food was good. I ordered the breaded shrimp tacos, which were average. The breading was not crispy, and there was no seasoning. I also ordered a sangria, which turned out to be more ice than wine. I accidentally tipped over the glass halfway through drinking my wine water, and the waiter (who turned out to be the manager) came over to say, “Oh well, it was just ice. You waste it.” This implied that the drink was mostly ice. She didn’t offer to make another drink or ask if I wanted to purchase another. I let that go.
We continued playing bingo, trying to understand the host because they still had music playing in the background. The entire bingo experience was okay. Our waiter seemed bothered when we asked about some charges on our check. We asked about the drink price, the automatic credit card charge, and a charge for chips and salsa that we hadn’t ordered in the second basket. Every time we asked a question, the waiter became snappy and seemed to take the receipt to fix or adjust it. However, we had multiple questions, and she became combative. When we asked for a manager, she stated that she was the manager, which is unusual to have a manager on the floor with that kind of attitude. She seemed to already have a slight attitude. I had never seen a manager go back and forth with a customer while the customer was trying to address the issue.
We still had bingo boards to play and didn’t finish we left after the “manager” adjusted the receipt. We checked out with a young man and left,...
Read moreLet me start by saying, "NEVER TELL A CUSTOMER THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO MAKE THEIR EXPERIENCE BETTER"!!! I brought my best friend here for her bday because this is where she wanted to go and try. This was BOTH our first time here. The setup and atmosphere was great & the music/DJ was amazing. It was definitely a vibe. But the only bad experience I had was I ordered a mimosa flight. I only drank one and my bff asked for the one she wanted so there were 3 left. I told my server Kaylin I didn't like the other 3 and if there was something that could be done or get another drink? She stated she was going to go talk to a manager but come to find out was the bartender she talked to & not a manager. I asked her to get a manager for me to speak with one never came to the table so I went in to locate the manager myself. Not sure if I was speaking with a manager or not she didn't say but you decided to assist but in a sense go back and forth with me but I straight up told her I would pay for the food and what drinks were drunk or pay nothing. We came up with giving me only 2 of the drinks I did like. Which was okay but by this POINT, it left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't have to come back and it's very unfortunate because the music was on 🔥🔥. For future reference bring the flights out on the rack it should be on and list what is coming in the drinks so someone knows of something they will like or allergy to. And list or notify your customers if there is a credit card fee. Just...
