I dont know why I keep giving Harold's chance after chance, but this is the last time. I ordered a 3 piece perch diner fried hard with 2 extra chicken tenders, red flag #1 when I asked how much the extra tender would be the man behind the counter pull a random number out of his behind, how do I know? I hears his thought process on how much to charge me. I pointed out the on the PRINTED menu on the wall it says 1 extra tender is 1.50 each..... he charged me 2.50 each. Second red flag is that you will be charged per sauce cup AND if you want lemon pepper. I thought at least 1 sauce would come with a large dinner, also charge for seasoning is crazy, but what ever I got both. Third red flag usually when I ask for my fish to fried hard it means well down and not super soft. Tell me why after waiting 40 minutes for my food, the man behind the counter asked me "you order fired hard right" the way he said it made me pause but I confirmed. When I got home I realized why he sound off. This sorry excuse of a restaurant served three scrawny completely brick hard( like seriously the entire thing was rock hard all the way through) pieces of fish. I wish I could post pictures and videos so you guys can hear how the "fish" sounds shattering like glass. The chicken tenders were edible but for the up charge of extra seasoning I would have hoped for more flavor. The fires were also under whelming. I see why they have posted no refund on you food. They must be used to serving inedible food. This was the third and final location I will try from Harold. I would suggest jolly's chicken and fish thats up the street about 10 minutes away. The customer services was so poor, I don't expect to get any kind of reimbursement or apologies. I'm sharing my story so that if you are considering this place I would implore you to save you money and go else where. If I can figure out how to attach a picture I will. And for those saying "you asked for the fish to fried hard" it funny that when I ask the same thing at other places like strack and van till or jolly's that don't serve me bricks. The guy knew he burnt my fish that's why he asked, common sence would imply remaking it. But whatever lesson learn I'm out of 23 dollars and my Friday night has been left with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'll never order Harold's again... ever. I have ordered there 3 times in total. The first time I had ordered chicken gizzards and not kidding they were burned to the point the skinnier pieces were charred. The second time was fine. This recent third time I had ordered 6 chicken 1/4s. For those of you working at Harold's a chicken quarter is a drumstick and a thigh. If it is not a drumstick and a thigh it is not a chicken quarter. I swear to god in each thing I opened I found 2 drumsticks and zero thighs! 2 drumsticks laying on the top of the world's dryest fries. The fried green tomatoes were a couple steps away from disgusting. They were extremely soggy (too ripe) and the breading was just bad. I'd say to be polite we can chalk this up to a bad management situation thus lack of training. My advice is if your job is to lead associates at a chicken restaurant maybe train them on what a chicken quarter is? If they can't comprehend or wrap their mind around the stubborn facts of what makes a chicken they need to try a burger joint and flip some buns. If this was not a training issue then it was again bad management trying to save a buck by ripping off their customer via not giving them as big of a meal as they had paid for. For customers reading this who are looking for good chicken and a staff that knows what they are serving i have great news. We are surrounded by good chicken places, sharks, churches, even Stracks and Popeyes would be better. Do not waste...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOh my god the women was rude as hell never coming back there again. Asked for BEYOND extra lemon pepper and paid for it. Go home and open the food and was utterly disappointed. My chicken was bare with barely any seasoning. I also expected mild sauce but I understand that that wasnāt spoken but it also wasnāt asked. Iām used to Chicago Haroldās and with this one just opening it thought hey canāt go too bad because itās new. I called about my order and explain that this wasnāt what I orders and the woman was very rude. I didnāt even get to fully explain before she said āare you finished?ā And tried to tell me I canāt see it because she put it on hot, but paid x5 extra lemon pepper. Iām trying to talk to her and sheās just like what do you want me to do after I asked her how should we go about fixing it. I even mentioned paying the extra fees but this isnāt what I wanted . She then goes āwhat do you want it for free?ā After I just said Iād pay for extras. As Iām still trying to figure this out she tells me she has to go and hangs up on me. Anyway the receipt said cashier Katina Kitchen and this was at 8:15pm on 2/25/2025. She said she made the order and she answered the phone and I had her on speaker so the person with me coukd attest to how RUDE she was talking to me when I was trying to be nothing but understanding.but whatever. I guess sheās miserable working there, so make sure yāall donāt order or sheāll take it out...
