I give this place 3.5 stars, for a couple of different reasons. First of all, the plain pizza was eh... it tasted alright, but was a little higher priced than other local pizza places. It didn’t really have a taste that amounted to the extra cost. Moving on to the garlic knots, I don’t know what else to say other than that they tasted like they had just come off of a potentially moderately warm plate under a heating light. They were pretty good, don’t get me wrong, but would have been much better had they been warmed. The amazingly redeeming part of the meal, however, was the buffalo chicken pizza. It had a delicious hot sauce on it, and was made perfectly and began as just tasty while moving on to a little hotter as I continued eating. Cheese browned on the chicken/pizza to perfection, and a very filling meal. I probably won’t return for normal pizza or knots, but damn, I’d recommend that specialty pizza from Mario’s if they are all as delicious as the buffalo chicken.

I grew up in Northampton and my family got pizza from Mario's all the time because it was apparently the best in the area, but I was a little kid and of course all pizza tastes good to kids. I moved to Philadelphia for school and went back to Mario's years ago, like 2010 or so, and the pizza was still great. Today (10/7/2023) I was in the Lehigh Valley for the first time in years and stopped by with some friends to see if it was still as good as I remember, and it's STILL great... probably the best pizza you can get in eastern PA. I can't say anything about anything there other than the pizza, but Mario's obviously knows what they're doing. The only bummer is that they charge for extra sauce on the pizza, and $1 for a fountain drink refill if you eat in. Not a deal breaker for what is probably the best pizza you can find anywhere in the Lehigh Valley though. Definitely recommend if you've never been there.

Best pizza in the Valley!!! I'm adding to my review, been a loyal customer for 25 years. I drive alot and I will always try a slice no matter where I am or what the place looks like. Yes I have found good and bad pies, but if I want pizza this is the only place I go! I live a town over and no pie can touch this!!!! April is an absolute Gem and Enzo a genius with his creations. Especially the sliders....... The Grandma is a punch of flavor and the Sicilian is amazing. I'm a pasta guy so every weekend I grab Spaghetti but try that Ravioli......... I did!!!!!! My only issue is they don't sell the gravy in a jar.. Thank you for always being consistent and bending with special orders..... I'm known as the extra sauce guy....

Mario’s should review the surcharge policies they’ve recently implemented as they are contrary to the Visa/MasterCard rules. First, debit card purchases can not be assessed a surcharge. Second, credit card surcharges can not be greater then 4% of the purchase. Third, online and phone orders must be informed as to the surcharge. Further, the credit card company has to be notified by the merchant 30 days prior to adding the surcharge and finally, the surcharge has to be a separate line item on the receipt. Mario’s has obviously decided to ignore these rules and taken upon themselves to reach into their customer’s pockets at their discretion.

We’ve been going to this pizza place for over 10 years. We’ve supported them through COVID with take outs. So, they’ve now jumped on the COVID business bandwagon to reach deeper into their customer’s pockets by ramping up prices and adding a $1.00 charge if you use a credit card for the purchase. Of course it’s because of “COVID”. I didn’t realize the credit card processing costs were so high!

This is the very first time any business has done this to me that I know of. I wouldn’t have known it at Mario’s either except the receipt I signed just had a total amount not itemized. Only after asking the counter person why it seemed like a big amount for such a small order I was told about the extra charge. Which by the way was not mentioned on the phone order. The medium pizza was around $13.00 plus $1.00 plus tax and this skimpy medium pizza came to $ 14.00something. This will be the last visit to Mario’s for us and for the rest of their customers…bring cash.

I firmly believe many businesses have been and still are affected by COVID, but many businesses are just hiding behind this easy excuse to gouge complacent customers. This may seem like a small issue, but it represents today’s business environment and Mario’s attitude toward their customers. Pizza was just ok….

Update…..now they’re getting very creative with a “work around” the credit card policies. NOW there’s signage at the entrance and at the register “Pay with cash and get a discount”!!!!!!! Isn’t that the same thing as paying more with a credit card?….oh yeah, gas stations do it too. Why...

Raw dough, bad communication, poor customer service. My family ordered a large take out dinner for 12 people a few weeks ago. A couple pizzas, Stromboli’s, chicken tenders for the kids and some garlic knots. When we got the food back home and served it out to our family we noticed very quickly nothing was cooked through. (We had actually noticed at Mario’s during pickup that one of the pizzas looked underdone and the girl at the counter said “That’s just the cheese, it’s cooked”). Unfortunately, it wasn’t, and neither was the rest of our order. All the dough was undercooked. We ordered a good amount of food, $98 dollars worth to be exact. We had to take turns in the oven making sure everyone’s food was recooked and safe to eat. When we called to let them know they assured us it had never happened before, gave us Enzo’s name and said our next meal is on them. We called today to just order for our family of 4 and I asked respectively if they would honor it for us after our experience. We were told we had a $10 credit for our bad experience and when we had explained that we were told we could have our meal taken care of, Enzo asked my husband “well did you eat the food that you had to recook? “. Of course we did, we were starving and had a family of 12 to feed and were not driving back, plus there was no refund offered! We have been going to Mario’s for years and will not be back. Working in the industry for as long as I have, I was very disappointed in the quality, the hospitality and the...

Long time patron of Mario's Pizza in Northampton. Since the day they opened their humble pizza shop, the two owners came from Italy and since the first day they worked long hours to get established in Northampton and they have gained a large group of regular customers. A family buisness with the new generation taking part in the pizza shop they serve fantastic Italian dinners as well as excellent pizza, steak sandwiches, meatball parms., great burgers and salads and much more! And they offer alcohol on the premises though i dont drink alcohol myself. Plenty of parking in their parking lot and employees that are very kind to all customersm..In all the years i have enjoyed their fine food and drinks, there has never been 1 time where they gave me an incorrect order. They are out to please every customer and are always very accomadating to make sure you have a great dining experience every time! If you have never been to Mario's then when you are in the area, stop by for a bite to eat. You will be glad...
