Let’s start with the good, beer and wine selection, the cheese platter, specifically the pickled asparagus, wife loved the cheese. But the real dirty secret, not worth the price of the food, get a beer or wine and run. Food issues listed below, also had an issue with cheese platter that was settled and discussed below.
Nice selection of craft beers. That being said I ordered the calamari, which came out cold and soggy, it wasn’t take out it was dine in and about 1/4 of the way in I find a hair, gross, waitress asks if I want another or off the bill, off the bill do not order the calamari, it wasn’t worth the money, not even close. I waited and thought about going to another place or order, I got the chicken sandwich, chicken was lacking in actual size, and underwhelming considering the things they add, bun was old and dry, also chicken wasn’t hot, the fries however were hot and decent. They only warm thing I got all night. Wife ordered a cake and coffee, well cake came and was meh, not worth the price, coffee well that came when she was done eating the cake, ordered at the same time. Timing was terrible, food was cold by the time we got it, and to be honest wasn’t that busy. Oh cheese platter “was that walnuts or pecans? The answer we got was it’s a mix of both”, wish it said that in menu wife is allergic, so she ate the things not touching it. Honestly not worth a visit, outside of a beer and continue on down to the other establishments in the area. Front of house staff didn’t seem happy, can’t blame them, the food was not that good, definitely not worth the price, left feeling like I...
Read moreI will start off this post by saying that I have been a customer here for 4 years, going about once per week. I accepted the inflated food and beer prices because I enjoyed the atmosphere. After how I was treated last night I will say that I am not returning.
The main issue last night was when I ordered the mac and cheese dish. When it came, it was entirely unflavorful and bland. I let the waitress know that I was not satisfied with the meal, and instead of saying “oh I am so sorry, is there something else you would want?“ She instead decided to play 20 questions and asked me multiple times what I felt was so wrong with the dish as it was a house favorite. I explained to her that it was not what I was expecting but that I would be happy to pay for it. She said she would speak to the chef, which she didn’t, because after taking the dish she walked immediately back to the kitchen and threw it in the trash. She then proceeded to walk over to her Friends at the bar and snicker about our interaction and look at me and point.
Simply, this is not how you treat customers. It is immature and rude and the story mimics many other stories that I have read in the comments here.
If this business wants to maintain success in the area, the staff needs to learn to listen to its customers and not to be petty when something doesn’t come...
Read moreMy wify know this place since +10 years ago and she always will highlight them as the best for the "Duck nachos", she used to be close here and nowadays we're not too close.
For me, the main thing here is the reserved beer list, I cannot share any special because everytime that we stop by, theyll have something different everytime.
The food is phenomenal, for the people that knows North Hampton will know that is small portions, pricy, but this place worth every penny. This time we did not eat anything, just stop for the fav beer for the wify that is Cantillon and when we are around we'll stop to see if they have something available and we'll pay for the bottle ($65-$80 based on experience), style is lambic from Belgium.
I cannot remember pretty well the eating experience due was probably 3 years ago, but I can say that I have really nice reminds here, if not wrong for lamb ribs and my wify something with duck.
I do recommend this place 100%, I want to add that all the people or personale here its extremely friendly and talkative if you want too, always my experience is amazing, will have to put as place to must...
