Found Cupbop on my way to grab a sub for dinner. Walked in and the restaurant has a bright, clean, comfortable seating area (maybe holds 25ish). There is a walk-up counter for ordering. The lady at the register was eager to help when I asked for suggestions. Food can be ordered plain, medium or spicy. Choices of many combos of shrimp, chicken, beef, pork, tofu. I had the beef and pork combo. You get a generous bowl served with protein on top of lettuce, noodles and rice. Two fried dumplings (pot-sticker) and some broccoli are also part of the bowl. Each cupbop bowl order is given a choice of canned soda, seltzer or a water bottle. The menu also offers udon and ramen, likely more interesting for kids looking for noodles. The food was dropped off to my table in 5ish minutes. No doubt, Cupbop Jangin is as likely to be preparing meals for carry out at least as often as for eat-in. If you're in the mood for a flavorful meal, give Cupbop a try-- I suspect you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was. The dine-in area is not fancy and would be welcoming to families with children. There is plenty of room between tables and uncarpeted flooring will accommodate anyone who is mobility challenged. Chairs and cushioned bench seating are the choices. Great new place and a solid value with substantial entrees...
Read moreWe went for dinner as a family and had a Terrible experience. There is one person working the front who couldn’t care less about customers. She spent the entire time we were here talking loudly on speaker phone and acted bothered if we asked questions. The kids ordered mild ramen which comes spicy. When we asked about it we were told that mild is supposed to be spicy (ordering spicy makes it spicier) and that if we wanted something else we could buy a different meal. So we had to pay another $18 for my son to have a bowl of rice and a few pieces of shrimp tempura after paying $18 for ramen he...
Read moreThis place must be running on some kind of top-secret time zone because they seem to close whenever they feel like it. I’ve shown up multiple times, well before their posted closing hours, and every single time the place is locked up tighter than Fort Knox. I’m starting to think the hours online are just decorative. Maybe it’s a performance art piece called “The Illusion of Dinner.” At this point, I’ve spent more time staring at their “Open” sign through a locked door than most people spend actually eating here. Five stars for consistency, just not the...
