Glenview Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Northfield Township

This place is soooo good! It’s currently almost February and I’m still patiently waiting for it to open back up. I’m basic so I usually get a mixed cone with butterscotch and girllll it’s bomb. My man’s got some sort of apple caramel sundae one time and oooooOoOoO, to die for!

The absolute only thing I wish was different is the parking situation. If you go here, just park on the main road, don’t pull into the lot.

Been going here for over 20 years. Reviews have little sway for this established and rooted business that is a staple of Glenview. However, there is always room for improvement. For years, I've noticed the Diary Bar is frugal when it comes to having napkins available. Most times, I have to ask for a napkin and I'm given one, just one and I don't ever see a dispenser. This last visit, my daughter and I drove home with our treats. My hot fudge Sundae dripped all over my lap and all over my car console. This place is phenomenal - but not just for the ice cream. Of course their ice cream is amazing. But it's a quaint little shop that gives you a very soothing and peaceful feeling. For some reason it provides tranquility like no other small ice cream shop in the north suburbs. It's always crowded in the summer time but I never mind waiting.
