Straw & bubbles Tea Bar — Restaurant in Northfield Township

It’s a cute store and the girl working at the counter greeted me. I had this place recommended by many locals I knew and coworkers who’ve been here before as regulars. So, maybe it was overhyped by the time I took the opportunity to visit. But, unfortunately, as you can tell by my review, I wouldn’t call this place my cup of tea.

Stars for… -once ordered, wait time is within 1-2 minutes -order was made correctly -drink was checked to make sure it was correct

Lower stars because… -Kiosks don’t let you modify your drink -I was standing looking at the menu for a while and no attempt from the girl at the counter to help or offer to When I did get her attention, in attempt to modify or ask about menu, I didn’t really get a sense from the worker she was willing to make time to help me(and I was the only customer; would be different if it was busy) -Related to previous comment, the menu for new visitors didn’t have any explanation to what each drink had or meant (thank goodness I’m a huge boba lover) -size to price is an issue everywhere but it goes for here too -Drink was WAYY too sweet -Worker appeared overwhelmed despite minimal orders; I can’t imagine if it...

Let’s start with prices. Prices are fair. The ones complaining that it’s overly expensive, obviously don’t know anything about the current economy. If you have common sense, you’ll know that the price of everything has gone up - look at groceries and gas. Now, use that brain and look at the cost of eating out and buying boba teas.

With that said, i ordered a strawberry matcha latte. It was very tasty, not too sweet. Remember people, if someone says everything is too sweet they probably didn’t try out the whole menu. The croissants were delicious. I tried out mango and blueberry cream. They had just the right balance of flavor. Not sweet.

Free street parking. They open later than some of the other boba places. Staff was nice, friendly, and attentive. Definitely not rude. I would disregard the 1-2 star reviews. They evidently don’t know anything. If you work and can’t afford a boba drink, then might as...

First time here. I ordered the taro cream smoothie , a ramen bowl w/ added dumplings, cheese, & an egg. I also grabbed their blueberry croffle (waffle croissant). I absolutely loved the taro smoothie! So delicious. The ramen had potential to be better. The machine they used to heat up & cook the ramen, burned the bottom of the bowl which caused the ramen to have this distinct burnt smell & flavor. I did not overcook the noodles, I actually took it off earlier than the timer had left. The blueberry croffle was also delicious. I feel like this place had so much potential to be better & receive more stars. The women behind the counter was working by herself & she seemed frustrated. Not a welcoming demeanor.
