Giordano's — Restaurant in Northfield Township

To be honest, a TOTAL disappointment. Be aware that this location is mainly a carry out and NOT a sit down restaurant. They have two tables inside but mostly carry out business. The reason we chose Giordano’s is that it’s touted as one of the top Chicago pizza. We wanted a STUFFED pizza and even called ahead to verify they did stuffed as it usually taking longer to bake. Long story short is that we got a mediocre DEEP DISH. We brought it up to the staff there and they said their stuffed IS deep dish. I’m sorry to say but this is different and even deceiving. I was at dinner last night eating outside and ordered the spaghetti marinara and meatball dish. I was so hungry and I got the plate and saw that it was spaghetti with what looked like a meatball on top of almost a clear tomato sauce liquid. The pasta was overcooked virtually there was just orange water for the sauce and the meatball was completely tasteless. I was hungry I ate most of it because I wasn’t going to take it back, I just don’t like doing that. I was so disappointed that the food was so awful. My husband ordered a salad and that was good. Such a disappointment. A three-year-old could’ve put together a better meal than that. I do really like their pizza but will never order a pasta dish...

Awesome spot for getting the world famous Giordano's deep dish pizza in a convenient avoid the crowds way. If you are a fist timer you must definitely visit their original downtown location. But if you just want the pizza quick better not go to the downtown location. Rather go to the limited locations and they have a few tables but mostly take away. The only reason I have this location 4 stars is that we had to initially sit at a table at arm's length from the restroom door (they reseated us upon request later when a better table was made available).
