Panera Bread — Restaurant in Northfield Township

This is a very unpleasant dining experience. I have visited this store many times before, and I have never tried that the staff's service attitude is so bad. Today, I went into the store to order food by myself. Unfortunately, the type of bread I chose was sold out. I was going to ask the staff (Name: Guadalupe)if he had a good recommendation. Who knows that the staff ignored me and went to greet other guests? I thought, forget it, I will order it myself! Then I went to the drink bar and poured a coke for myself. Then the staff with bad service attitude came over and said to pay for the coke. Then I asked him if my meal was not for coke.He said no, I said drinks are not provided for free? He said that only water was provided free of charge. (But I don't see any water on the drink bar. Where is the water?)I said that there is no note on the wall that only water is free. It is indeed suspected that you have misled consumers by putting the drink cup here. In case the customer drinks, you can also kindly remind: Sorry, there is a charge for drinks in our store. Or remind customers on the wall of the beverage bar that only water is free, so that customers can choose for themselves. Instead of asking customers to check out at the front desk without warning after drinking drinks, this service attitude should be eliminated in today's society. This staff(Name: Guadalupe)has serious racial discrimination against Asians. A white woman didn't spend money, so he just gave her a drink cup, and we spent it. It's hateful of him to use harsh words! I also dine in other Panera, but the service attitude is super good, that is, the service attitude of 2512 Waukegand is super poor, and I will not go to this Panera...

Great food and quick service! The ONLY real PROBLEM there is some of THE CUSTOMERS. Instead of placing their dishes in the nearby "bus tubs" when they are finished with their meals they often leave their dirty dishes etc at the table and walk out.

As a result the guys who bring people their food have to stop and clean up their messes. During the busy lunch and dinner hours this can be problematic because instead of focusing on bringing people their orders they spend time cleaning up behind folks. The more and the larger the mess left the more time the food runner has to spend cleaning it. This leads to us having to wait longer to get our food.

But the food runner , a Black guy with a Spanish name....... I think it was Fidel, anyway he ALWAYS serves me with a SMILE. Last time I didn't have time to put my plates away so I left him a tip. GREAT GUY! I saw him carrying THREE plates at a time. He is my FAVORITE employee at the Glenview location. The General Manager there is great too! I see him working right along side his employees. You can tell right away when you walk in that they have a culture of making sure that the customer is happy and well served. FIVE STARS!!! Make sure you try the Strawberry poppyseed chicken salad. This Panera Bread is the best. No matter how busy/ hectic the place gets, the staff is always smiling, friendly, and super efficient. Yesterday, the staff at this prime location went out of their way to help me. I spaced on picking up a rapid pick-up order for 2pm that I placed over the weekend because I knew I'd be at the doctor all day. I realized I forgot to pick up my order at 5pm so I called the store to explain the situation and see if they had held it for me. Instead, the woman I spoke with told me to come in and they would remake it fresh for me. I came in at 6:30pm, during full dinner rush, and they quickly remade my order. The gentleman at the counter was super understanding and never stopped smiling :) and the manager on duty executed my order remake in mere minutes and literally hunted me down in the restaurant to deliver my order. I must admit the reason she had to look for me was because I was intrigued by the prickly pear tea so I wondered to the end of the line and the gentlemen making food (for a fully packed restaurant) offered to let me sample the tea.
