Hi again, Jimmy; this is Anhelina Karashevska. I could not respond to the answer you wrote, but after the lies you told over there, I am strongly considering responding.
The actual truth: I ordered a Crab Rangoon for the first free appetizer and ASKED if the “Premium” one was available for this offer. I have a right to ask lol. After your clarification, I decided to go with another Crab Rangoon. And SHAME ON YOU for lying. This is proof of your dishonesty with the clients, which supports my previous review.
Another truth: I have offered you two options: I can go with separate orders and use the offers that you’re giving me (because I WANT TO DO THAT AND I WANT TO HAVE TWO appetizers, which will be applied anyway if I go with the separate orders, lol, and I told you that straight, sir), or you can apply it to one order since the info will be the same. After that, you started accusing me of not supporting your business and making up payment rules. SHAME ON YOU! And you do have receipts, as well as I do, lol, just because you agreed to make it in one transaction “as an exception” and mentioned how hard it was for you (one more time, guys, to provide the offer that you are giving to the clients)
I don’t care how much the other orders are; I have the right, as a consumer, to decide how I will proceed with my order and how to use the offers that are given to me. To end the conversation with me, you emphasized once again what an exception you are making for me and how badly I am treating your business because of the $6 appetizer when you have a pending order for $700, lol. And guided by your invented payment rules, I only repeated that I want two appetizers, and I don't care how you will add them because I am right from the client's side.
I informed you of my plan to use your offer in a way that is beneficial to me as a customer. I asked you how it is better for you to place the order - together or separately, since this absolutely does not change my ultimate goal. There is NOTHING I have to be ASHAMED of. But you decided to show yourself in a bad light, and I received this attitude in response to my attempts to facilitate the work of the person who makes this order.
So again, SHAME ON YOU, sir. A dishonest business owner cannot have an honest business. Now my impressions of this restaurant have become even worse.
You do not value your customers; you also morally humiliate them. Disgusting.
P.S. Dear Jimmy, the details of my order, such as the TOTAL of my receipt and the items I ordered, are CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION and you CANNOT share it without my permission!! This also applies to other people's order information; you cannot share or especially compare it. If you want to explain the situation, the word "for example" is used to avoid all inconveniences. I have not heard...
Read moreArrived at Thai Thai and immediately noticed the aging paint on the walls and just very outdated interior of the building. I've had amazing meals from sketchy places so we went for it. I ordered the Pad Thai lunch special and we got the soup and couple of potstickers within a minute and nibbled on those while we waited for lunch. My noodles arrived and smelled a bit off but went in for a bite that I could not choke down. The guy eating with me attempted as well just to make sure I wasn't crazy, which I was not. I had to go find a waitress to tell her something was wrong and instead of an apology or offering to replace it said "ok" and went about her business. 10 minutes later when the bill came I was charged $5 for potstickers.. so I asked the lady up front why the $5 for the potstickers and she argued that I had ate one of those so I should be charged, I protested as anybody would and she reluctantly offered to take off $2. I again protested this time refusing to pay for that quality of food and customer service and she walked away, fiddled with the computer and came back. My lunch charge was gone, my dining partners was still on there (which was actually really good, fried basil rice) and my drink (which was also good and I had offered to pay for). The line she gave me was "here you go, I understand everyone wants something for free".. catching me on a good day I asked for the manager instead of causing a scene. He was apologetic and offered a complimentary lunch and prosimed me to rectify his mouthy employee situation but the damage is done. I would suggest the Italian place next to thid place or any other resturant, anywhere. If you like wasting your time and money, then this might be the spot for you... everyone else, please pass...
Read moreIn town on business and decided to try Jimmy's after reading the great reviews. Not only did Jimmy himself come greet me when I sat down, but he offered me a sample when I couldn't decide what to order! You only get that kind of service from the truly special spots. Especially from an owner! Overall the service was something I'd expect from a 5 star resort. Very impressive.
The food was also very very good - I settled on the tonkotsu ramen with beef (with homemade spicy sauce that was out of this world!) and a Thai fresh roll. While I like the thicker peanut sauces, this tamarind sauce had a nice flavor and plenty of peanut pieces. Covid safety here made me feel very comfortable.. Even with the masking rules having expired a couple days ago, all the staff were masked and they even gave you a water bottle instead of a glass (as someone who's worked in the service industry, I know glassware is the dirtiest!). I only have a couple meals left in town, but you can bet I'll be returning to Jimmy's to try his famous Thai food before I go. Adding this place to my "permanent" list to return to whenever I'm back in town!
EDITED After returning for lunch, I've decided that Jimmy's isn't a 5 star hotel (I've worked in 5 star hotels), it's your uncle's house! You come in for a bite, but you leave as family and come back as family. For lunch I got the beef pad see ew, a spring roll, and the chicken sate - all delicious. Fantastically moist chicken with so much flavor. Loved the peanut sauce. Pad See Ew was lighter than you'd expect, but perfect as it wasn't as salty as some can be! The sauce was sweet and flavorful and the vegetables were cooked...
