This location gets a bad rap, but in my experience its generally because of the patrons. It's a coffee shop. A Starbucks at that. Everything is as simple as you make and there's a pecking order to how drinks are made. The person who ordered a black coffee after you is going to get their drink before your giant frapuccino. It's how it goes.
As far as the actual store, my only prevention to a fifth star is because there are people who sit here for hours taking up tables long after their drinks are finished (which is fine), but when new people can't sit because of you it's time to leave. Staff has always been friendly to me (and I've been coming here for easily 15 years) and maybe it's because my order is simple, but I've never had a mess up. Maybe y'all complaining are just too pretentious? If it's as simple as driving 2 minutes down the road, go there then.
Edit 2023: While I stand by my previous review, I've since changed it to 1 star after the remodel. This location is now nothing more than a mobile pick up. Completely devoid of any "third place" atmosphere and service that Starbucks USED to pride itself on. An obvious alignment to the sterilization of modern commerce, I won't be back here again. Damn shame as I've been coming here since it opened.

Read moreI visited the northbrook starbucks this morning. I placed my mobile order as i left my house like i always do. No matter what town im in. When i got to the speaker to let them know i had a mobile order. The girl working was unbelievably rude. "If you are going to place a mobile order you cant just pull right up, we need time to make your order" i tried to apologize and explain i live right across the street and i dont mind waiting but she spoke over me and wouldnt let me talk. I tried to ask what the difference would be if i just pulled up and just ordered a coffee? Again she was rudely speaking over me. When i got the window she assured me again it was going to take a bit because i "ordered as i was pulling up" I order starbuck all the time from different cities and states and this is by far the worst experience i have ever had at one. I was astounded at the way that she is allowed to speak to paying customers. Needless to say wont be visiting this location again. Which is a shame considering its directly across the...
Read moreWorst Starbucks experiences at this place. For some reason, online ordering through DoorDash always uses this location as the order point, even though there are closer locations. This place has, so far, served me with bad coffee, terrible tasting hot chocolate (to the point I felt like they were poisoning me), an iced lemon cake that was completely broken in half, and today when I ordered a chocolate brownie, they sent me a $4 gift card because they apparently ran out of the brownie - yet the brownie costed me $5.89 (includes tax). How can you give me a $4 gift card to make up for something costing $5.89?! I not only lose a brownie, but I also lose money on the transaction. Well now this place has lost a customer. I reported these incidents to DoorDash and will refuse to order using DoorDash if they do not allow us to choose which store we would like to order from. Stay away from this place - they treat their customers worse than they treat their...
