Disappointed. This evening I ordered two items, and both were made wrong. The young girl was very nice, but either wasn't listening or she just wasn't processing my requests. It became obvious that nobody working with her (several) even knew how to make a basic chocolate malt. Her trainer (I'm assuming she was in training) copped an attitude, but fortunately she walked away. She offered to remake the order after trying to tell me what I ordered. I know what I ordered, I've been ordering the same thing for almost 50 years. She asked what flavor ice cream that I wanted in my chocolate malt...I said to use vanilla, because I don't want a double-chocolate malt. She delivered a vanilla shake in which both the weight & texture were way off...it was whipped vanilla ice cream. The other was suppose to be a combination of chocolate & black raspberry...her trainer delivered a raspberry shake, then copped an attitude when I asked again about the chocolate. I even left a tip, which was obviously expected but not appreciated. I won't make that mistake again! Also, the remade chocolate malt still wasn't right, either...I'm not sure what it was, but it wasn't anything like what I have ordered there within the past decade or so. Do better, TRAIN better...and please don't cop an attitude when someone calls you out on your mistakes. The cost of this order is above your pay scale. Also, one cup was overfilled running down the sides when she handed it to me...it was a very sticky ride home. The other shake was almost two inches away from the lid. Read moreWhen you order a banana split and you want your bananas cut up and each slice touches with fingers without gloves, then you watch the guy put his fingers in the toppings that's going on your ice cream, come here!! The manager couldn't give 2 licks of giving a refund and didn't question the guy making it after 3 tries. 1st time, sat on the counter for 15 min because he forgot to make the second part of the order. Second time, he brought up the container without banana, then went back added banana. While watching him, he was cutting the banana and picking up each individual piece with no gloves and pushing them in the ice cream. While doing so, his thumb went through the ice cream and toppings and proceeded to cover it up by adding more toppings. Third time, asked for a refund, but he just stared and proceeded to make a 3rd one. Manager standing right there, asked the guy what was wrong with that one and the guy just replies "idk". Even though I just asked for the refund and explained why. Doesn't listen while other employees just laughed about the situation. No accountability. 25 min when hardly anybody was there. Better to...
Read moreI ordered my usual double scoop chocolate pecan with waffle cone. Very disappointed how much you cut down the size of the cone. The second scoop they used a much smaller scooper which made the second scoop look like a garnish. Usually there are so many pecans however this time time between two scoops I received a total of four pecans and at first I thought I received a plain chocolate cone until I reached the middle. No one in our family could eat the whole waffle cone due to the fact the wrapper would not easily peel as it usually does but stuck to the cone. Sad to see the quality and quantity has dropped so significantly recently. As a kid going to the original Handles in Youngstown every weekend was a treat. Since moving to this area it was still a treat to have our hometown ice cream close by until tonight. For the quality and quantity we received we are better off buying a box of drumsticks...
