Mike & Anna's Pasta House — Restaurant in Northfield

Omgggg the food at this restaurant is AMAZZING!! I found it on a whim under "restaurants near me" on Google Maps after I dropped hubs at AC airport and man am I GLAD I did!! Don't overlook it just cuz it's in a strip-mall, believe me this little gem of an Italian restaurant is worth finding. And it's reasonably priced. I started with half a Bruschetta Board which had 5 beautifully toasted slices of Italian bread, deliciously topped with tomatoes, garlic, basil n mozzarella chunks in a tangy balsamic vinegarette. Then I ordered the chicken in vodka sauce with burrata special... over HOMEMADE pappardelle (optional upgrade, well worth the $3), which I ordered spicy for a nice little kick, and Ohhh Myyy Gawwwdd was it delish!! Lightly battered, not breaded (thankyouJESUS), perfectly tender n luscious in a creamy vodka sauce (with nice little chunks of tomato n onion the way it's supposed to be made!) over those wonderful pappardelle...a joyous surprise of a dish! And tho it may look unassuming, the sweet and friendly hostess (and owner, I believe) along with the authenticly Italian chef (from Naples I overheard him say) really made me feel comfortable n valued as they came thru the dining room to chat with customers and check if I had everything I needed more than once. I can't attest to the desserts, as I was pleasantly full, with enough leftovers of both my brushetta and entree for a full meal the next day. So bottom line...GO!! You'll be...

To start, the food was fine. My husband enjoyed his bang bang shrimp. My chicken picante meal was pretty bland and dry. Now, I’ve never taken the time to write a review before but felt compelled to do so this time. We ordered delivery through the slice app which we’ve done many times with other pizza and Italian places without issues. After getting a notification that the food was on its way, we were still waiting over 30 minutes later. Unlike other apps, there’s no contact driver option. As such, I called the restaurant to see if the food was actually picked up. A young man answered and was very polite. He said he believed it was picked up but needed to double check with his manager. He came back a minute or two later and confirmed that it was picked up. I said thanks and was about to hang up when he said “hold on.” I heard a woman in the background ask rudely to be given the phone. She then got on the phone and yelled at me for calling there saying she didn’t have time to answer needless questions before slamming the phone down on me. I’ve truly never had such a rude and aggressive experience from any restaurant I’ve been to over the years.

Again, food was overall fine. Not great but decent enough. This review really is for the out right abrasiveness from whatever manager decided it was necessary to yell at a customer for calling ONCE to inquire about a status of an order. We will not be spending our...

Mike's Pasta House is a truly exceptional restaurant that has captured our hearts. This was our family's second visit, and once again, we were blown away by the remarkable experience provided.

First and foremost, the food at Mike's Pasta House is nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish we devoured was bursting with flavors, prepared with the utmost care, and made with the freshest ingredients.

However, what truly sets this dining establishment apart is its unparalleled service. We were incredibly touched by the welcome we received from Mr. and Mrs. Mike's Pasta House. Mike personally assisted my father, who is wheelchair-bound. The level of care and attention provided to us was truly above and beyond.

Another commendable aspect of our visit was Mike's engaging personality. He made an effort to connect with our children, striking up conversations that put them at ease and made them feel like valued guests. It's these little gestures that create lasting memories for families and solidify the bond between customers and the restaurant.
