I will start by saying I don’t ever usually write reviews but, my experience tonight was very disappointing. We called around 5:50 to see if there was a wait they said no wait at this time. So went headed over and in 10 minutes they had a 45 min wait. No problem we will just get take out. We were told to go into the Liquor Store to order. Our order came to $175 and we waited 25 minutes. When we went in to pick it up at the liquor store they said to go to the host desk who sent me back to the liquor store to pick up. I asked the lady if we could have a side of parmigiana cheese for our pasta dishes. The lady went to get it and said they usually charge for it but because they were so busy she would just give it to us. We thanked her and left. Carrying in the takeout bags the one was so soaked on the bottom the food was about to completely rip through. Also we noticed on our receipt we had a take out box change. They charge you for each takeout box they put your food in. When I handed out everyone’s food we realized that the pizza bread that comes with the pasta dishes was not in the bag. I called to let them know and they said no problem they would have it at the hostess station ready to go. Two minutes later I get a call back from them saying actually the lady who got the food together remembers putting it in the bag so we should definitely have it. I told her it’s definitely not here and we had already opened all the containers. All she said was oh, well it should be there. At this point I just asked to speak to a manger because I was so frustrated with the situation. The manger said it wouldn’t be a problem and we could come back for it. The food itself was fantastic but the service was very disappointing. I would much rather go to a place like the crab trap where I know I would have fantastic service and great food. Very disappointed with our first experience at this restaurant and unfortunately we will...
Read moreI'm rating this place 0/5 starts, and yes, surprising, but appropriate after this story (couldn't rate a zero, hence the 1 start). My mother, myself and my children dined indoors at this establishment last week for the first time, although we're from the area. We just never were here before. The food was excellent, and our waitress was attentive. The negativity started after we paid and got up to exit. My mother paid this time around, and apparently, the waitress was not happy about her tip. Not once, but twice on the way out, the waitress stopped my mother in her tracks (who is 81 years old by the way) and verbally expressed how she did not like her tip and that she should have paid her more (this waitress was middle aged I would say as well). I mean, just unbelievable in my opinion. I have never in my entire life saw something like this at a restaurant, and would never have done that to a paying customer. I've worked as a waitress myself in the food industry for many years. I've been stiffed plenty of times and also received tips that I disliked, but never did I dream of walking up to the customer, an elderly one at that, and being downright rude and asking for a higher tip. Again, once enough is bad, but twice! We had stopped in to check out their wine selection before leaving the restaurant; she caught my mom once in the wine section, and a second time on the way out. It's not even like my mother didn't tip the woman, because she did! This happened about a week ago and my mother is still upset about this and doesn't want to eat out anymore. Just astonished at this service and how belittling they were to an elderly woman. I guess if you do not give a hefty tip here, be prepared to be stopped on the way out and...
Read moreVERY, VERY Disappointed!! The coconut shrimp were large, over cooked, not flavorful and NO dipping sauce! When asked, staff said the place was out of the dipping sauce - but still charged full price. The main course was salmon. After it arrived, it was discovered that it had cilantro in it. I specifically checked for no cilantro and yet there it was. It made the entire dish taste like soap for me, which is why I don't pick dishes that have that spice. I had to send that back. Then picked a lobster mac n cheese. You'd think that would be easy enough. Well by the time that came out, the other person was done eating and the dish was elbow noodle soup!! Super watery, no real cheese taste, covered with old bay seasoning and maybe - maybe 3 flat as a dime sized pieces of what I can only hope was lobster! After 3 disappointing dishes in a row -- I was completely ready to leave. I should note - the waiter was very nice - but that didn't fill my belly or change the exorbitant cost! The check was Over $120. !!! For sub-par food?!? It would have been better if we would have gotten a $30. bucket of chicken and kept the extra $80+ dollars. I, we, friends of ours, anyone I come in contact with will hear about the VERY overpriced, terribly disappointing foods and expensive experience encountered at this place. Oh and this was Not the 1st bad food that has been received from this place! This will absolutely be the Last time!! Never ever, ever will I or anyone that I know or come in contact with, for any reason return to this place thinking of enjoying a nice meal only to be dissatisfied, upset and over charged for SUPER AWEFUL...
