I ordered a pizza and salad yesterday 9/21/15 from Jets on Haggerty and 5 mile, 15450 N Haggerty Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170.
I placed my order with Elissa. I was told 45 minutes until delivery. I ordered at 6:20pm, I called back at 7:30pm to check on the order, they put me on hold for 5 minutes, came back and said we cant find the order. I said I placed it with Elissa an hour and ten minutes ago, I had to repeat my address for her 3 times while ordering. He said oh well, we cant find it, we can make you a new order if you want and it will be delivered in 45 minutes. I said I have already waited over an hour for my order, now I have to wait an additional 45 minutes? He said yes there is nothing we can do about it. I hung up, I was so mad they treated me that way, it was horrible customer service. I was so mad I called back to speak to a manager, Mike, and he told me the same thing. He said its their computer system and it happens ALL the time. He said they could deliver our order in 45 minutes or I could pick it up in 20. It was going on 8pm at this point, my kids were hungry and ready for bed, we ordered at 620. I said forget it, horrible, horrible customer service. There was never a resolution, I told them I wasn't waiting another 45 minutes. If this was my company I would want to know if the staff was not taking care of customers orders, and then they weren't even nice enough to fix their mistake. I fully expected them to say we will get this made ASAP and get it right out to you. I was not expecting them to blow me off and say oh well, and make me wait an additional 45 minutes. This was horrible. Prior to this, we ordered from Jets AT LEAST once every two weeks, sometimes every week. Never again, especially now that I know this happens ALL the time, as...
Read moreGenuinely the worst experience I've ever had with a Jet's Pizza, which is sad because we used to love Jet's.
About two months ago we ordered a pizza from Jet's at 5 Mile and Haggerty in Livonia, and upon taking my first bite, I crunched on a large shard of glass in my pizza. Right away I called the store, NOT to complain or scream or even to demand a refund or another pizza, but JUST to let them know, so they could find out where it came from and make sure more pizzas weren't being sent out with glass in them. As it was, we were lucky the glass was in my slice, not my toddler daughter's.
The manager was apologetic and, even though I didn't ask for it, put a $10 dollar credit on my account. Awesome. Turned a bad experience into an OK one. -1 to pizza but +1 to humanity.
Skip to today. I called to order from the same Jet's on 5 Mile and Haggerty, and the man who answered said there was no note on the account. He got me to his manager who reiterated that there was no note in the system for the "supposed" piece of glass, and said that he couldn't do anything about anything unless I knew which pizza it was from (the pepperoni or the pineapple) and if I didn't know the name of the manager who was on duty, the whole time insinuating that I was making the whole situation up.
So here's the deal, Jet's, I'm not sure what it matters which pizza the glass was in, and it was two months ago, I also don't know who was working that night either. I am sure that THERE WAS GLASS IN MY PIZZA, and instead of trying to do the right thing and make it right, I got berated by a guy who thought I was out to sully the name of his pizzeria.
I wasn't before, but I am now.
Don't go here unless you want rough service and even rougher ingredients...
Read morePricing is overly convoluted, and surprisingly deceptive to the average person.
For a while I've opted to do text to orders because they offered 15 percent (previously 20 percent), and that usually on par with any deal, assuming they have one. An associate told me I was overpaying, so after looking into it I was mortified to see how terrible their pricing practices actually are.
When I do my usual text to order a two topping pizza is $17.54. If I do the same order with a current coupon from the circular they gave me, the price increases to $18. So I would be paying a $.49 premium for using a coupon over just using text to order.
Now this is where things get really weird. At the time of posting a large pizza is part of their "hot deal," which brings the price down to $14.82. So not using any coupon is $3.18 less than using a coupon, and $2.72 less than using text to order. On top of this counting towards Jets Rewards, meaning I'm paying more, and getting less, while being told I am saving 15 percent... that just makes no sense.
This requires way too much effort for something as simple as ordering a pizza, and there are so many avenues to feel like you're getting ripped off. Imagine paying a premium because you actually dared to use the coupon that came with the pizza.
Hopefully this post will get someone to consider simplifying this, or help other people from being ripped off by such...
