Finny’s Sports Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Norton

On 2/22/2024 my father took my kids and I to dinner. We were greeted after 10 minutes by a server who did not introduce herself. She brought our drinks after 10 minutes, and we wanted to start with an appetizer. She took our order and our appetizer of buffalo chicken dip and chips came out, immediately followed by our food. Two different servers brought us our food, my father had to physically get up to ask for refills for my children under 10 and 3. When he approached our actual server who took our drink order and food order to ask for our kids to get refilled, she told him no she clocked out and continued to take selfies and take shots out the bar with her friends in her work attire. Then he walked back to our table with empty cups. She didn't tell anybody we needed refills, and some girl who came into her shift on time, said the server who was suppose to relieve our original server was late. And the late server never even stopped by. I had to physically get up and ask for boxes, and our check. I at least left the tip for the girl who actually checked on us, and we got 15% off.

I guess to sum this up, we thought it was very rude, inconsiderate , and trashy of our server to literally tell us no to refills because she clocked out in the middle of service. We took care of our own table on our own. It was an absolutely awful experience for our first time every visiting. Between my father and I, we have been residents for over 50 years, and this was absolutely unacceptable. We will not be returning. I have 15 years of serving experience, and never have I worked or been to a restaurant with such poor service.

Decided to try this place after hearing some good things, I’m never talking to the people who told me to come here again! I got a burger, the people I was with got other sandwiches. I thought the food took a little while to get out for just being 3 simple items but that’s not my biggest complaint, the food was dropped off then the waiter left immediately not asking if we needed anything (which we needed napkins and refills) but after further investigation my burger didn’t have ketchup or mustard on it which I asked for and the other two sandwiches didn’t have the sauces they asked for, so we have to wait until the waiter gets back until we can eat cause who wants to eat plain sandwiches, while we wait had a couple bites of fries it was almost like drinking water no taste, we wait and wait and wait, I made eye contact five times with our waiter and thought he would get the hint that we weren’t touching or food but he never did just continued to serve drinks, I then asked a passing waitress for help she walked outside came back and told the guy behind us who was unboxing some cups I think to help us, he got up walked to the bar( I thought maybe to grab a notepad ) then walked right by us, he did that three times! After that we got up left enough money to pay for our appetizer we ate and left without eating the food ( I’m not sure how long we waited but all our food was cold when we got up so plenty of time) I will never be back and I highly recommend you NEVER TRY THIS PLACE, I would rather walk to Cleveland for a half eaten McDonald’s burger than ever go back...

So to start off my husband and I always go here every Monday night for wing night and sometimes burger night as well. Well we changed things up and placed a to go order. I got the wings and my husband got the gyro and nachos. Well to start off, my wings had so many feathers left in the wings its was disgusting. I instantly just threw them away. Called to let them know, well later that night my husband got extremely sick. Throwing up, couldn’t keep water down. So on top of my wings having feathers on them my husband got FOOD POISONING!!! I called again. The night shift manager told me she would contact the owner and he would give me a call. She apologized and was very sorry. I waited now a week and half for a call. Call them again a few days after I did not receive a call from the owner. My husband was so sick for a day and half. This is uncalled for and to think the owner would at least make this right to regulars. I’m truly disappointed and can’t believe I have not even gotten a call. This is very unprofessional and just shows this place does not care. My husband almost went to the damn hospital!!! I will NEVER RETURN. Poor management because she definitely could of just given me a refund or taken care of our next meal if we were to come back. The owner is down right careless, knowing someone got food poisoning from your restaurant and not trying to get to the bottom of the problem. Wow. DONT EAT HERE unless you want food poisoning and shitty service. Shame...
