The Dilly Duck Shop — Restaurant in Norwalk

OMG I've just discovered a foodie's delight! How often have I dreamed about a gourmet breakfast/lunch place? Delicious food prepared by a chef professionally trained at the CIA and some of the top restaurants in NY and CT. I've been there 3 times with no complaints. Bacon, egg and cheese is the best I've had anywhere. Skin on hash brown potatoes are just the way you always hope they are going to be but seldom are. Great coffee, cappucino and lattes and muffins that perfecty compliment them. Lunch is equally wonderful. Delicious soups, salads, rotisserie sandwiches and killer french fries. Then you get to quench your thirst with something they call the lemon fizz, which I call the best lemonade I've ever tasted and it's fizzy to boot. It's perfectly balanced and sweetened with a seductive mint syrup that will keep you coming back for more. Don't make the mistake I made of ordering a small one. All the baked goods are made in house and are excellent. My personal favorite is the cornbread which I get for both breakfast and lunch. I wish that they would offer it in loaves to take home. The staff couldn't be nicer and the atmosphere is impeccably clean and attractive. This place is a home run and I can't wait to go back and spoil...

My wife and I have been coming to The Dilly Duck Shop since they opened, and it’s become one of our absolute favorite spots in Norwalk. Phyllis is always so warm and gracious in her greetings, she makes the place feel like a true neighborhood gem. The atmosphere is a perfect mix of modern simplicity and cozy, cabin-like comfort.

But honestly, even if it weren’t such a welcoming space, we’d still be here constantly because the food is INCREDIBLE. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but I do have my go-tos. For breakfast, it’s the Yogurt Agave Bowl when I’m being calorie-conscious and the Double Classical when I’m not. Next time I’m ready to indulge, I’ve already got my eyes on the Bravas Fries. For lunch, nothing beats the Rotisserie Roasted Beef Sandwich with 24-hour onions…I’m practically salivating just thinking about it.

To drink, I’m partial to the Fizzy Palmer, and their coffee is consistently top notch, the highest quality you’ll find.

We heard about the Dilly Duck from a client and came up from Stamford last weekend to give it a try. Dang its good :)

Lets get the french fries out of the way, they were fine, nothing crazy... but.....

We had the Rotisserie Roasted Beef Sandwich, and the Rotisserie Roasted Pork Sandwich, which both were EXCELLENT!

We also had the House made Fizz (Fizzy Palmer) that was fantastic, so good I had to get another for the road. The Iced Tea and Mint mixed so well with the lemon fizz!

The Cappuccino was delicious, and then to wrap it all up, I had walked in eyeing the pastry they had on display but before I could order it, the lady behind the counter recommended all of the home-made from scratch cookies they had. So we got one of each flavor, and 2 days later we were still enjoying them. Best cookies: Dulce De Leche, Cranberry Oat, Brownie, and Chocolate Chip in that order for us!!

The food was great, the experience was great, the staff super friendly.

OH and if you bring your dog with you, they keep scraps on hand from all the trimmings that they give to you on request for your doggo...
