Fun new little spot next to the Walmart on the Wilton / Norwalk border. Industrial feel with concrete floors, hard wooden furniture, open ceilings and an overall minimalist decor. Best part of the whole experience were the staff. Very friendly and attentive with good sense of humor and engagement. Beer is decent. I wouldn’t drive too far out of your way, but a nice selection of pilsners, IPAs, Hazys and some porters. Food is the same - decent but overall quite expensive with small portions. We got the eggrolls which were good but quite demure in stature. Lacked both girth and length but were well stuffed and the flavor and crispiness were on point. The Wurst was really tasty, very smoky and great fattiness. Definitely smaller than I was imagining. Chicken sandwich was decent but also really small. Very juicy but lacking salt. Fries for both dishes are fresh cut and tasty. Good amount of salt but not crispy enough IMHO. May head back if they had new...
Read moreI’m sorry to write but this place is a pass. Upon arrival there were some crumbs on our table and the hostess used her hand to wipe them away. When I asked to get the table cleaned she made a comment that it was clean… well if there are seeds from a prior patron I would not agree. The menu seemed great but the food wasn’t so. The “sliders” on the kids menu is actually a piece of bread with a hamburger cut on the diagonal. When I mentioned this was not a “slider” I was told I was the first to ever have an issue. My fish tacos, while a large portion, and no taste of smokey dill sauce and the fries were not spicy as advertised - not bad fries, just regular fries. The flatbreads were meh. On a positive note, we did enjoy the beer. We won’t be back but if you stop in I suggest the drinks over the food. I did appreciate they removed the non “sliders” my child wouldn’t eat when...
Read moreWe came a few times when they first opened and were impressed then the screaming toddlers came and the acoustics in there are awful. Not enough seating due to the strollers and it’s so damn loud due to the children. The beers and food and service were great but you need earplugs in here. Since our first few visits, we’ve tried to come back twice for beer releases and the parking lot was completely full and there was nowhere to sit or even stand inside. I get that parents who like beer want to take their kids with them places but when did breweries become Chuck E. Cheese’s!? What’s so bad about having ONE adults only day or even a whole brewery for those without kids who don’t want to scream over kid noises to have a conversation with other adults? Again, the beer and food we were actually able to have were fantastic, we just couldn’t hear each other...
