10/16/21 at about 7.30 pm went in, no wait. Was lead to table, 7 minutes later waitress comes, takes our drink order, 1 water and 1 soda. Asked us if we wanted bread and oil, we said yes and put in app order. 6 minutes later she comes back with water, bread and oil and they were out of the soda so ordered another. She came back 4 minutes later with the soda they had. Then she noticed we had no knives, forks or napins. She went and got them. She then took our order, it was both same and simple, fish and chips well done on both the fish and chips and malt vinegar. 25 minutes later 1 fish and chip comes, it was not well done but we were hungry. Wife started into that 1, thinking that the 2nd one would be right along. 10 minutes later I got hold off the waitress and asked her where the 2nd one was, she went to check. 5 minutes later came back to say the kitchen did not make the 2nd one, I said ok please be sure its well done on both the fish and chips, ok she said and I showed her the other one that was not well done, she agreed its not well done and said the kitchen does that if they're in hurry, they don't follow the notes. 10 minutes later she comes back with the 2nd one, I thought the fish just came from the sea, it was worse than the 1st one. It came with what I think was supposed to be coleslaw, it was dry and nasty. We both ate maybe half the meal. I had to get up and go looking for our waitress for out bill, could not find her, found another waitress and told her I was looking for our waitress and she says that happens. I just gave her my credit card and paid. It is not about the money, I don't mind paying for something, the least the staff should have done was get an manger, but from the way both waitress talked it seems that this happens a lot. Live and learn, never going back there to that one. I know everywhere is short staffed, but the food was not...

I ordered a doordash pickup order at 4:45pm on Saturday night August 23rd, Mustard crusted chicken blt, a burger , with steak and cheese rolls and chocolate chip cookies. Before getting ready to go out to an event I went to pick up food for 5pm. I had about a ten min drive. When I got back home to eat, I pulled the burger out first then the chicken sandwich. I was going to eat the chicken sandwich and the chicken looked fine, breaded as normal, one bite in and I realized the chicken was RAW, COLD. I removed the chicken and ate the rest. Being rushed off to an event I had no time to deal with this. So I called the restaurant right away to let them know who ever was cooking that day needs to be restrained. So that way everyone in the time was on a need to know basis. Chicken should never be served RAW!!! I made sure I let staff manager John know mistakes happen and this mistakes had to be made aware. Fully understanding. Today is Monday, two days later and I called the restaurant back and spoke with staff manager Megan who i repeated the problem too and caught her up to date. (Sounded like she was unaware of any situation that happened Saturday night) both days I asked to speak with manager, whom were very polite and professional when dealing with this situation! Okay thank you. Oh and I must add... there was no bacon on blt. I personally dont like bacon so I was going to remove it anyway when receiving order if it had come with sandwich. Where do I start? The staff, amazing. The location (Reeds Pond) awesome. My experience? Crazy. Entered and chose the bar area. Was greeted, ordered wine...all was going well. Ordered food, came out quick...

Mine had to go back because it was cold. Not like luke-warm, I mean cold. As mine went back, my table mate found a hair in the fish. A long dark hair (we're both short gray or white haired). That plate went back. The new first dish came out and it was cold again. Determined it had queso that was cold and causing the whole meal to be chilled.

Mgr said how about nachos. Quick, easy... I'll get it right out. Ok. Nachos came out. With no chili or jalapenos. Table mate's plate came out with broccoli instead of spinach. Nachos go back. Clam chowder, I think. And.... The clam chowder was excellent! So was the side of sauted spinach that made it out after awhile.

The mgr was apologetic and really worked with us. This would have been a zero, but I felt like I was listened to and the problems were obvious. The majority of my food reviews are positive, and in the midst of all this crazy, a huge shout out to Khia (I'm sure I spelled that wrong), who was grace under pressure and an example of a staff member that Joe's restaurant should make sure they're keeping happy -- she is the face of your service and she saved your arse with our experience.
