The drive- thru wait time wasn't long at all & it was during later lunch but still during lunch time. She had to wait for me. My order taker helped me alot to place my order as to what was what since it had been quite awhile since I had been to a Wendy's or many takeout places period. I spotted your Wendy's while going to my Bank of America almost diagonally from the restaurant since I'm not from your area. Now I know that you're there so I can go sometimes when I'm going back and forth between Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos. My 2 Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger's were terrific, I asked for well done, extra ketchup, extra mayo & a ton of onions like a mountain of them & told her if they think they put on too many they probably didn't I want a real real lot cause I want big bites of onion with every bite, then I didn't want anything else in it. Your cook got it right 1st time, kudos to your cook, most of the time I ask for that crazy amount of onions at other Wendy's and I get home and they have 3 rings & maybe a little extra on the condiments. My fries were hot & fresh, I ordered those loaded fries but unfortunately I didn't get to try them & had to throw them out, but I did have cheesy fries by dipping my fresh fries into my side of cheese sauce I ordered. All & all my experiences with this Wendy's so far is great, earlier I gave kudos to the cook, I need to also give kudos to the young lady who helped me to figure out & place my order, also she got things right & made sure they did also so double kudos. Like I said earlier thanks to her I was able to place my order, she was informative, patient, knew her stuff, helpful and very very personable and friendly. I would definitely recommend this Wendy's to my family and friends as well as it's being posted on my maps where I have thousands of people who look at whatever & whoever I commented on. Read moreI don't know what happened to this place--if it was a new manager, a franchise buyout, or what, but for the past month the service has dipped significantly. The drive thru operator--a gentleman named Thomas--was disinterested and less than friendly to say the least--which, whatever, I can't say I liked that kind of job during my college years either--but it becomes a concern when the order is wrong due to poor communication. Worse when items are missing.
Now if that was all that went wrong, I may not judge so harshly, but when I went to get the missing nuggets and my drink corrected, while I did get the nuggets, the coffee...was rather cold, and bitter. A hot coffee, by the way. You all know the type. The kind that's slightly oily with a burnt aftertaste that could generously be described as lukewarm.
Not that having dialog with any of the staff was easy, either. I understand it's busy, but there comes a point when one stops being in a hurry, and starts being dismissive.
It never used to be this way. That's why it was a go to for the longest time. Unfortunately I can't really say that, anymore. I'm going to have to look into alternatives because it's plain to me that there's a problem with the way the shifts are being run, and the local staff seem to have no desire to fix it. I am pregnant and I haven’t eight month old crying and it was the first thing I was eating today and was craving. I had my fiancé ordering for me and I had asked them what their top two burgers were to be asked to be repeated the question a couple times because she couldn’t hear us saying she didn’t have her hearing aids and which I don’t know if it was true or not but I don’t think disabilities is funny. Someone else then comes on who had better hearing, They ask if we want and I’m trying to tell my fiancé I want to double stag, Bag and chili. Only to be interrupted well, I’m trying to let him know what I wanted. They finally hear that. I want a double stack bag and immediately start going onto the next thing I didn’t even get to specify my customizations or anything else I just was getting rushed into the next thing. At this point I’m overwhelmed my babies screaming I’m hungry and my fiancé is frustrated trying to communicate what I want to the worker. This point I’m just telling him to leave because I feel so horrible and I just just wanna cry.
