A couple of days ago I approached the manager of our neighborhood Norwood Park Dunkin Donuts and asked if they would like to participate in supporting our local elementary middle school dance by donating a few boxes of hot chocolate. He said no, which is absolutely fine, but he did offer us half price on purchasing them. I agreed and gave him all the information for the kids party on the actual flyer - with the addition of the amount of boxes ordered - the pick up time clearly written AGAIN because it was printed on the flyer as well (Friday night at 5:30 P.M) - and my personal contact information for any emergencies, etc..
I received a jarring call at 5:40. A.M - yes, 5:40 A.M on the Friday MORNING of the dance - to ask when I would be there to pick up the hot chocolate!!!!!
Okay, things can happen, mistakes are made all the time, no harm, no foul, ....BUT.....when we went to pick up the pre-ordered 4 boxes of hot chocolate they REFUSED the agreed upon order and offered to sell us only ONE box at the agreed price and the other three at regular cost with a small discount. Needless to say I declined to purchase anything from a place that would try to EXTORT our school at the last minute while our children were waiting for their expected hot chocolate. I would advise anyone who lives in the Norwood Park area to avoid this business and all the parents of the disappointed children plan to boycott this business, because if they they can lie and cheat little kids out of hot chocolate - what else are they willing to lie and cheat about? It is disgraceful for any business to behave that way, especially when dealing with children and their expectations ...SHAME ON...
Read moreI went to this location today around 8:50AM. i went there with my dad just to get some coffee and a donut for a little breakfast, my dad doesn’t usually have dunkin so he got our initial order wrong so i helped to correct our order. the lady taking our order was older, it seemed like she was the manager. she started yelling at my dad for not knowing the order and that she already made the other employee start on our order. we were still being nice to her as we didn’t want to cause a scene but it made me mad that she would yell at my father for simply making a mistake on his order. the food was fine, i feel bad for the kid working there but that woman has a terrible attitude. as someone who works in customer service myself that was one of the worst experiences i’ve had. I hope she fixes her attitude or that if she is the manager they find a better one for...
