This is my childhood park and I got penalized for freedom of expresion, got bnned cant even let a kid have fun, they took it if i did a bad crime. Being banned from a public park is not just a punishment, but also a significant deprivation of one's right to enjoy public spaces, which should be accessible to everyone. Public parks are essential for fostering community well-being, encouraging outdoor activities, and providing a natural environment for relaxation and recreation. Therefore, it's crucial to assess the reasons behind such a ban and consider alternative solutions that address the root cause of the issue without resorting to exclusion.

First and foremost, public parks are communal assets designed to benefit the entire community. They provide a sanctuary from the urban hustle and bustle, a space for physical activities, and a venue for social interactions. Denying someone access to this communal resource can have negative repercussions on their physical and mental well-being. Regular access to green spaces has been linked to reduced stress levels, improved mood, and increased physical activity, all of which contribute to a healthier and more balanced lifestyle. By banning an individual from a park, we are depriving them of these essential benefits and potentially exacerbating any existing issues.

Moreover, banning someone from a park is a punitive measure that may not address the underlying reasons for the behavior that led to the ban in the first place. Instead of focusing on exclusion, it would be more effective to implement programs or interventions that address the root cause of the problem. For instance, if the ban is a result of disruptive behavior, offering conflict resolution workshops or community service opportunities could help the individual learn from their mistakes and make amends in a constructive manner. This approach not only fosters personal growth but also strengthens the sense of community and shared responsibility.

Additionally, it's important to consider the broader implications of banning individuals from public spaces. Such actions can set a precedent that may lead to increased exclusion and marginalization of certain groups within the community. Public parks should remain inclusive and welcoming environments where everyone feels a sense of belonging and connection. By fostering inclusivity and understanding, we can create a more harmonious and supportive community for all.

In conclusion, banning someone from a park is a counterproductive measure that fails to address the root causes of the issue and deprives individuals of the numerous benefits that public spaces offer. Instead, we should focus on alternative solutions that promote personal growth, community engagement, and inclusivity. By doing so, we can ensure that our parks remain vibrant and accessible spaces for...

Extremely poor experience thanks to the unfriendly pool manager Kayla Rogers, with her authoritarian attitude and unable to solve problems, desorganized, disregard of other's feelings&time. My little kid has a private swimming lesson scheduled at 9:45am-10:15am, I got at the Park District Pool area at 9:38am and was informed that they have to cancel my lesson because the safe guards wouldn't be there until 10am. I couldn't understand the reason why we needed safeguards on a 2 feet pool, but no big deal, I said we don't need to cancel the class since we've already arrived here and it takes time to prepare for the lesson, just to postpone everyone's following lessons to 15 min after the ending time (detail: we would need to wait 22 min before the class starts and I had other events planned after this lesson). She rejects my proposal because the next class is a "group class" (??). So you don't want to do your job and call other parents to arrive 15 min later and we - whom you couldn't honor the schedule - have to leave with my kid not getting in the pool on a bright Saturday morning?! I asked her name and she said it with an attitude while running to her room, leaving me behind at the reception with the teacher Elizabeth who apologized for the inconvenience, was very empathetic, willing to help, and accommodate my needs (teacher Elizabeth deserves the leadership role, honestly). Unfortunately, that's not the first time this happens, I saw this happening to another mother as well. They told her to come at 9am Saturday morning with her kid and waited until the manager came with an excuse. They left at almost 9:20am without the swimming lesson. Totally disrespectful & unprofessional to families who are patronizing...

The two stars are for the pool, which was fine. But this place operates via poor business practices. Beware: If hoping to use the pool, you run the risk of wasting your money if weather conditions are poor, and do not expect them to forewarn you. Before you pay, inquire about their approaxch to current weather conditions.

Together, our family spent about $80 for 3 adults and 5 children to swim. Immediately after entering the locker room, we were advised that we would not be allowed to swim due to a brewing storm. We were also informed that there would be no refunds, despite the fact that we had just paid 3 minutes prior. No exaggeration.

After some back and forth with some clueless, albeit sweet teen workers, the manager indicated that she would "graciously" make an exception this one time by granting us a pass that expired in 3 days!!! Once again, we debated with her the difficulty of trying to reconvene our entire party during the work week. So, begrudgingly, she crossed out the handwritten date on the pass and extended the pass another week.

Discretion. This word was entirely lost on the manager/facility. Her willingness to offer a refund and/or provide passes was at her discretion. Clearly it is unethical to take a family's money and simply say, "tough luck." There's a reason the passes exist. And if you can cross out one date, that means you have complete discretion to do whatever it takes to make people feel like they are not being swindled out of what is for many no small amount of money.

To the manager: You didn't do us a favor! Your practices are foul and unethical. We were the ones who compromised WITH YOU!

To the...
