I've been a super fan of this place since moving down to Norwood from NH almost six years ago. So many softserve options on the menu (Oreo Cheesecake being my favorite). However, my last two visits have probably turned me off to going ever again. Went there a month before todays visit, and they were out of all the cheesecake icecreams. No problem, but the staff were rude, and had no personality as we ordered our food. Didnt even thank us for our visit. No problem, they probably had an off day.
Flash forward to today (5/22/25). Went in with four kids, and myself. There were two girls working the front, a blonde haired one who actually smiled and was nice. Then a brown/brunette maybe darker haired girl that was exactly the opposite. As the kids ordered, she was so impatient with a scowl on her face the entire time, it was making even the kids uncomfortable as they tried to figure out their order. They were still out of the cheesecake ice cream (so much for them getting in soon as told last time), and half the toppings the kids ordered were out. Each time the kids asked for a topping that was out, the girl with the scowl on her face literally sighed as they went to the chart to find another topping. Then as I added two more orders after the kids got theirs in, she looked so impatient, she could have been tapping her foot with her hand on her hips, and it would have been just as uncomfortable. She looked like I iinconvenienced her when I asked for one of the orders to be put in the freezer t be brought home while the kids ate theirs at the table, and the blonde girl picked up on it and came to help. Didnt thank me (the blonde haired girl did as the mean one walked away), and then they all went right on their phones.
If you're gonna work at an establishment aimed at children, personality is key. I was so uncomfortable with this girls attitude, I would have called her out on it, if I didnt have four children with me. Two times in a row, with rude and impatient staff. Do better Daddys Dairy. We usually take groups of people here during the summer, but we are taking our business elsewhere now, and recommending people do the same. Who wants to get ice cream in a fun look establishment, when the staff make you super uncomfortable for taking time to order (even though we were the only customers in line). Its a damn shame, teach these staff members customer service. Or at least...

Our Son’s 1st birthday was Sunday (12/20), we ordered a $44 birthday cake from this place. We had no prior interaction or viewed the website to know it was an ice cream cake shop. We just wanted to support a local business as Norwood Residents.
The cake we received had no ingredient description or allergy information. The cake was placed in a very tight (&small) cake box (plastic), which we could not open!. When it was time to use the cake at our event, it was all messed up, the design ruined (the cover was so tight, the design on top cracked, the inscription messed up)
We called the Manager and was rudely asked " do you not put ice cream in the freezer?". Well, Manager if your cake had a label or your employee did their job right, we would have done that!
Our point is considering we were just a walk-in customer without prior interaction with this place, we should have been told all cakes were ice cream cake and needed to be frozen not refrigerated!
No one called us back when we requested a redesign or replacement. We had to cancel our 1-year-old baby's photoshoot and zoom birthday since there was no cake.
The owner was equally worse too and pretty much said we were looking for free cake. I have not encountered more rude & unprofessional individuals!
We will never...
Read moreDaddy’s dairy is hands down one of the best ice cream places in Norwood, situated right in the heart of downtown Norwood.
This has become one of our favorite local spots to grab ice cream be it during the day or late at night. The ice cream selection and choices with all the toppings will amuse you. They have all sorts of flavors and ice creams you can think of, from frozen yogurt to non dairy, no sugar to vegan, soft serves and of course your traditional hard ice cream. The base is your typical cup, cone/ waffle cone. The store is huge, clean and well organized.
I’ve had black raspberry Oreo, chocolate chip, raspberry chocolate truffle and a few more. All of their flavors are delicious.
It’s great to see all the necessary COVID precautions are in check at this location. Social distancing, face masks and cleanliness were spot on. There’s an outdoor seating area opened up though this might be temporary.
If you’re in Norwood downtown, do try this place. You...
