This is a really cool place and likely the best sushi in the county. Their rice is perfectly cooked and the flavors are spot on. I started with the salad with ginger dressing. The bowl is the ultimate bowl for a salad, but the star was the food. The lettuce and veggies were super cold and crisp. The ginger dressing was really good, probably the best I've had. I also got the fried calamari which was cooked perfectly, not rubbery at all. It had a lovely batter with a great seasoning. I couldn't stop eating it. I got the lunch special which came with two sushi rolls. I got the salmon jalapeno and the spicy crunchy tuna. The spicy crunchy tuna was my favorite for taste. It had the perfect amount of heat. The salmon jalapeno was my favorite for texture. I also got to try my friend's Philadelphia roll which won over all three of them. The taste and texture was top notch. I also tried a taste of my friends hibachi chicken. The rice in that dish is so good. It's sticky and seasoned wonderfully. The sauce with the chicken was very delicious as well and thick so it stuck perfectly to the chicken. The atmosphere was great. Very clean. Super cool bathrooms. And the service was spot on. She always made sure we were full of tea and had what we needed. I'll definitely be back. Next time, the firecracker roll is on my list.

I have wanting to go to this place for a long time. Convincing my husband that the sushi would be good in Norwood was another story so I made him take me for my birthday and I was blow out of the water. I can be a bit of a sushi snob. It's a very nice small restraunt with actually fresh sushi that taste amaizing. The chef makes all the sauces for the hibachi himself. My mother does not like sushi so she got the hibachi shrimp with fried rice. The fried rice was the best I ever tasted. She ate all her shrimp so I didn't taste it but the fact that she ate all her shrimp means it was good. Prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. Great place for a date night or romantic evening with your husband. We will definitely be back. Mia was our waitress and she was very informative about the menu and has the best customer service skills. Everyone was very friendly. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Tried takeout again six months later. My last experience was not good. This time I arrived at 6:37 for a 646 pick up as many places exceeded expectations and have it ready early. Not lantern. All of my food was out at the time except the white rice. I waited until 707 and finally told them to cancel my order as my food sat there and got cold with still no white rice. No one seems to care. No one really acknowledges you right away when you get there, and it is so slow. No one even offered to package it up and give me what was there. Too bad there aren't many options in small Norwood

One of the least pleasing dining experiences I've ever had. Extremely disorganized wait staff. Arrived waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged. Then had menus dropped off, waited another 20 minutes to place order. This with a restautant that was not full and the majotity of tables there already with food. There were only three tables including ours waiting for service and the other two arrived after us. A group that arrived after us was able to get their order in ahead of ours. New server came up said there was a mix up in the server rotation and he would be our server. This after watching 4 servers walk back and forth and seemingly doing nothing other than walk back and forth. Server had no clue about the menu. After another long wait, was told it was due to call in orders backing up the kitchen, we received our appetizer without the sauce it is supposed to come with along with the first bit of sushi that had been sitting on the counter for at least 10 minutes. Requested sauce that was supposed to be with appetizer and two additional sauces for sushi. Requested chop sticks because we had no utensils. Requested the soup that was supposed to be there. Soup finally came out a couple minutes later. Waited 10 minutes more no sauces arrived. Flagged down a different server and requested sauce. Finally after another 5 minutes original server brough sauces for sushi but never for the appetizer. Table soy sauce was empty but didn't even ask for more since the server never came back. Didn't have any napkins. Ran out of drink and watched all the servers walk past the table with pitchers refilling their tables but no team work so no one bothered with our glasses even though we sat them near the edge of the table and could obviously be seen. Was ready to leave and watched our server run all over but wasn't really getting anything for anyone. They finally returned and we paid at the table, and at this point we were waiting again to get the receipt to sign. After about 5 minutes server shows up to have us pay again and then realized we already paid and needed receipts. Finally brought them and we were freed.

The whole time I was there I really debated asking to speak to the manager but was tired of waiting and don't think it would have mattered. We are a super easy couple to please when dining out so I am not trying to be overly critical, it was just simply that bad.

Sushi itself was okay, definitely not the best in the area and definitely not the worst. This is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. $85 meal for two which is fine, but there are other sushi places nearby that have better sushi with better service for a better price. I'd gladly pay more for sushi but this sushi and service were not worth that price. The restaurant itself is also nice they did a very good job...

Ok, I have waited a bit write this review because I didn't want my frustrations to be fresh and for me to speak more with emotions than thought. we went on a Friday night so we were expecting it to be busy. However I called and was told that it was a 20 min wait so we head on over because it take some time to drive out to Norwood. We got there and there was no hostess to make sure who was next to be seated. People kept coming in after us and being seated before us. After about 30 mins of waiting to get a table we are show our table up at the front corner of the restaurant. We felt that we were forgotten at that table. it took a good 20-25 mins for a waiter to even come over and give us some menus and to get us some water. As we were close to figuring out what we were going to order the waiter came back over and asked if we were ready. I asked that he give us 5 more mins. 30 mins later he makes his way back to our table. We order our sushi and I understand it is a Friday and that they are busy. BUT it took another 30 mins to get our sushi. Since we were not served for so long we needed to get going so we asked for the check as soon as our food came to the table. That took another 20 mins. We were fed up with the Horrible Service! That being said the sushi prices weren't bad a little on the high end but not bad. The sushi wasn't anything to brag about but it wasn't bad. I would try it again but I will not be dinning it. I think for the area it is a good carryout option if you want sushi. But because of my experience that I had i choose to go to the other really good sushi option...
