I would have given 5 stars had things been different.....

Went on Saturday evening. Arrived at 6:30. It was busy but not packed. Since I was dining alone, I sat at the bar. It was probably a bad idea. The bar is rather high. Felt like I was a 6 year old sitting at the grown-up table. No worries. Had to wait at least 6-8 minutes for the server to approach me. Ordered a tall double Tito's with club soda and a splash of OJ. They do not have club soda. Ok... can deal with that. So I just asked to sub water for the club soda. Unfortunately, it was mostly OJ. It was definitely not a double either, as I confirmed when I got the check. The free salsa was very pedestrian. Wasn't bad, just not very good. Ordered the Queso Loco, which was pretty good. Also ordered the Charro Beans. This was good as well(unfortunately, I found out after I left that they had double charged me for this). Decided to try their Tortilla soup. It was tasty and a large bowl. The only downside was that it had rice. Just a personal preference as I do not care for rice in soups. Still, it was good nevertheless. My server only checked on me once during my visit. In her defense, she appeared to be the only server in the place. There are roughly 12-14 tables. Definitely understaffed. It took quite a while to get my check. All told I was there for 90+ minutes.

I would go back but only at a less busy time. I definitely would not sit at the bar. The atmosphere is average. Very...

Went as a family with minor children. Was about 10 pm. Got seated, took a good 15 minutes before we were asked for our order. Then food took long to come out. Then didn’t get all that we had ordered. One plate of food was forgotten. That took an extra 15 to 20 minutes to come out. Sadly, the person eating that was chewing on napkin pieces in the salad part of it. Complained about it but the person didn’t seem to care, with a smirk on his face. Next we know, one of the employees blasted music with every curse word you can think of. Mind you, there were more than my minor children there. Then the employee was very loud and obnoxious. Drinking with the customers. Dancing as if it were a club. Twerking in front of everyone. We just couldn’t get out of there fast enough. There were only 3 tables full of customers, so I don’t understand why we weren’t asked if we wanted refills. Wasn’t busy. Super sad to see two dad’s at the bar getting wasted with two toddler kids. Wondered how they were gonna get home! I will never return! Disappointed to...

For a little town this was an awesome Mexican restaurant. Service was good. Portions were huge especially for the price. The burrito was really good the steak was juicy. The chorizo was a little bit spicy but just right not too greasy either. The guacamole was so good that came on everything just the right amount of seasoning cilantro and lime and you could tell the avocado was fresh. Good queso and chips. Whether you're just passing through staying nearby or live somewhere nearby this is a great spot to get some good Mexican.

Weekend @ the lake w/FamDamily! We had to choose between 3 different Mexican restaurants in the Metropolitan area of Norwood NC. Mr Tequila happened to be the closest so there we went. Amazingly enough - we all agreed (rarely happens) BEST MEX FOOD EVER! Svc, Food (apps, entrees and dessert) 2nd to none. If you're in the area, tell em BillyRayRox sent ya, won't get either of us anything extra, but it's a good ice breaker ... 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸's from BRR
