I had a pretty unexpected chat with one of the workers at this location. They are employed there as of late May 2024.
Let's just say that somebody needs to call the health department etc.
The stories I heard from this employee are awful! STAY AWAY from this LaRosa's! I love LaRosa's and was surprised to hear what I heard but then again apparently what's been going on has only been going on because of the owner or manager there.
Obviously the employees know what is going on. There is no incentive for this person to tell me what they told me so clearly it's the truth. So here it goes ...
If you want to eat Old food, go to this LaRosa's! If a person's pizza is made wrong, the manager WILL keep that pizza around to save money and will sell it to the next person who orders the kind of pizza that it is OR let's say it's just missing mushrooms, he will throw mushrooms on there and add a little bit more cheese and pop it back in the oven. YES and the pizza will be sitting for a while! Anyone want old soup? Go to this location! I was told that it's not just a little bit old, not that it matters either way but I was told that not only did the soup smell and the employee said that you could tell it was moldy! This employee said that the manager just stirs it up, and tells them to just do all of that etc!
Garlic bread is old too! This employee has seen with their own eyes moldy garlic bread & yes it's being served. This is all just for the owner to save money which is a shame because we are talking about People's Health here we are speaking about people's health here!
When I mentioned to the employee that they should contact the health department etc, you could tell they got a little worried bc I said that they should call the health department and if I were them that I would.. they said well, you didn't hear this stuff from me...and said that they were leaving to work elsewhere soon enough anyway. You can tell they were worried about job which is really sad. Owners and or managers force people into doing things that they do not believe in or know is not ok all bc they are afraid of being targeted. And it's sad that of employees were questioned at that location inside of that location by their bosses then they feel like they cannot speak the truth. It would take the health department speaking to employees separately or the higher-ups from corporate. Or in an instance like what happened with me they just started discussing it out of the blue when I dropped them off at their job bc I did a rideshare ride. What made them bring that up? Obviously it's been bothering them but usually I tell people to have a good day before exiting the vehicle .so when I did that they kind of did this " sigh " ..indicating...oh here we go..great...I'm here again...( That's the type of response they gave and look they gave).
And that's when this employee just started to spill the beans ! All of it! This employee was thoroughly disgusted and is obviously fed up. I cannot blame them. Shoot I was fed up and I do not even work there! Just hearing how this owner does not care about other people and all for the sake of saving money, is NOT ok! And I plan on reporting this. So if they see this and they think that they are going to fix what they are doing, if this owner/manager is reading this my advice would be to not just fix it for a short period of time because you believe that that will be just fine just in case the health department comes by or other inspections happen, you should , NEED to change it forever! Somebody who does sketchy stuff like this, would make a temporary change long enough to get by through inspections. So keep in mind that this is not a temporary thing and I personally will make sure that A follow up is consistent throughout time!
UPDATE: owner replied. Funny. Bc they know about it considering it's them, also the manager doing it! Write you guys? I'm doing that now! U r aware your giving out already made pizzas from messsed up orders, for new orders, & that's not even the worst part. When u r doing that, don't act...
Read moreI really hate that I have to do this, I order from here all the time and the pizza is amazing. However today I ordered a pizza for lunch while at work. I paid $30 for one pizza, charged a $5 delivery fee plus a %20 tip for the driver. We have a rack at our front entrance for food deliveries and when I got the notification my pizza was delivered I immediately went to grab it. When I picked up the box I knew something was wrong, I actually thought I only got half a pizza because all of the weight was on one side so I opened the box and this is what my pizza looked like. Clearly this was dropped or something. Maybe even threw behind the driver's seat on its side. I understand that the pizza was most likely not put in the box this way but the driver is a representative of La Rosa's pizza. Clearly he or she did not care at all about delivering this pizza to their customer in a quality way. I wish I could take the tip back. To be fair I spoke to a manager and he gave me a credit for the amount of the pizza but my wife and I did not have anything to eat for lunch today. I will not ever use the credit anyway now because they lost a loyal customer today...... I wanted to update this review, la Rosa is the best pizza in town and this issue was resolved fairly, I feel. They credited my account, minus the tax and tip. I did not order from them for two months but today I decided to give it a shot. My pizza was delivered 30 minutes from the time I placed my order online, cost me $8 because of the credit and was the best pizza I've ever had. The delivery driver was polite, and courteous. I was a very loyal customer and it seems they have fixed any issues, or it was just a one off. Amazing...
Read moreUsually I don't have any problems at this place but the last time I was here for a pickup order I had to wait like 20 minutes past the time the website told me was needed, which was the first time in like 10 months of ordering from this location that it has ever happened. Admittedly it was a Friday evening, but that's never been a problem before.
I used to work a service job and I like to sympathize where I can but the pickup desk manager or supervisor lady, while she was doing her best I believe, was very curt with customers and was giving wildly inaccurate estimates for time to cook the food. I went in, gave my name, and was told it would be 5 minutes. Apparently I wasn't the only one because some other people, who apparently had plans got in there and made it known that they wish they would've been told because they had a party waiting on them. The best the manager lady could do was "sometimes the website is wrong" and to a few people she just didn't reply at all.
Like I said, I want to sympathize, maybe someone called off, but just do your best and don't give inaccurate estimates to your customers? It only makes a bad...
