I was meeting up with someone to purchase a rug and this was our meet up spot. i have the night to myself (no kids or spouse for the night), so I thought it’d be a treat to grab P.F. Chang’s.
I was going to get Mongolian beef- swapping out for shrimp and when it came to 22$ I just hated spending that much on 1 item so I went for my second favorite - shrimp potstickers and I have been wanting some rice and noodles and decided to get 2 different kids meals. I wanted variety and not quantity so this was perfect. I got the rice and added extra spice and it was hot, flavorful and good (sometimes i find kids meals aren’t that great when our 10 year old gets them at other restaurants but this was great!) I was too full to eat the lo mein so that will go to my kiddo tomorrow :)
Everything was hot, flavorful and the service was outstanding. I knew I’d be at the restaurant at a specific time and I requested it be done at 4:10 and i believe that is almost exactly when it was handed to me. Friendly staff chatted with me while I waited for less then a couple minutes :)
The only slight downside is the fruit side.. not good.. go for any other side as their food is just awesome …. :) Honestly- i didn’t need a side and after tip (15% for carry out) my total was still less the 30$
It was a breeze to prepay….
AnywaY, I am just thrilled at the ease of this experience and will definitely be doing carry out more often.
ALWAYS remember to ask for a fortune cookie as this is the second time I have not gotten one and I believe it is due to a gluten issue ( say what???— but who cares as their food rocks and service is good except this weird caveat). Anyway- they were happy to grab them - just remember to...
Read moreWent on November 14 at 6:00 PM. The night started off bad as I walked in with my 10 yer old daughter and there are two employees who look high -school age at the hostess station that did not acknowledge our existence by either eye contact or a verbal "Hello - Welcome to PH Chang's". Absolutely zero training on how to greet someone who is a customer. About 1-2 minutes later after never taking their eyes off the screen detailing the table layout of the restaurant, another employee comes up, looks at us but says nothing, leaves to seat another customer and then comes back to greet and seat us.
I ordered Buddha's Feast based on the server's suggestion. It was served room temperature wise; the tofu is described as "five-spice' - it had zero spice and the vegetables were incredibly bland. My brother and I ordered two beers and were charged for three - when I pointed it out to the server he stated "I'll take that off" but no apology for not checking our bill for correctness. My brother ordered soup they failed to serve before dinner; they then sent it out after he told them to not send it out. I will give them credit - they did not charge for it. Overall a very poor performance that will have me avoid them in the future. No manager ever checked on us; incredibly distant staff and incredibly poor food taste and preparation. PF Chang's used to be a great restaurant that had hour-long waits during the week and two-hours on the weekends. Thursday night at 6:00 it was at best 1/3 to 1/2 full - no...
Read moreWe were at PF Chang's Rookwood Commons & Pavilion location on 11/25/2024 for a late lunch while out shopping. My wife ordered Chicken Fried Rice and i ordered Kung Pao Beef extra spicey.
The service was great, unfortunately the food was not so good, at least the KP Beef was not. The wifes CF Rice was good. I normally order Mongolian Beef, but thought I would change it up a little, so I ordered KP Beef instead.
The KP Beef was so salty that i ended up moving most of the beef to one side of the bowl and only eating the rice and the veggies. Gave a very small piece of the beef to my wife to try, who promptly replied, its the soy sauce, way too salty. I normally salt everything, but this was way over the top, salty.
I wasnt sure if it was because of the "extra spicey" i ordered, so i never mentioned a word to the server, its not her fault. I just ate what i could and didnt complain.
The meat was kinda dry also. I'm not sure if KP beef is supposed to be that way, so again I did not complain. PF Chang's is not somewhere we visit a lot, but wherever we go CF Rice is my wifes normal order and Mongolian Beef is my order.
Not so sure we will return, but if we do, KP Beef will not be my choice. Last time we visited PFC, my order then was Mongolian Beef and i was not impressed, even though that specific visit was at PFC Dayton Mall.
My last two visits and I believe my only two visits did not yield a great response, this last visit was bad, the meat was not good for...
