Benito's Pizza Cafe — Restaurant in Novi

Best MASTACHOLLI ever (sorry I know I spelled that wrong). We get pizza here ALL THE TIME and this location IS ALWAYS delicious. Every single time. But for New Years, we ordered some mastacholli for our at home party and EVERYONE went crazy and an ENTIRE tray didn’t last 1 hour. Now I’ve had pasta from pizza places before and we were expecting just basic sub par quality- NOT THESE GUYS. I’ve had catering and whatnot from some of the best Italian chains in New Jersey and THIS IS RIGHT AT THAT LEVEL. I was blown away by the amount of cheese, the homemade pasta and the sauce was PERFECT. It’s the type of mastacholli you dream about at 2am. I HAVE to come back for the Fettuccine Alfredo cuz if this is good- I CANT IMAGINE how good that probably is. This place never misses the mark. Everything they have is good. We LOVE the Benito cheese bread, wings are great and the pizza is our favorite in the area. ALWAYS ASK for Parmesan cheese packets, this location NAILS it EVERYTIME. Even on a major holiday. Just keep in mind, with great power comes great responsibility…THEY ARE ALWAY busy on the weekends. Order ahead and don’t get upset if you’re waiting 30-45 minutes on a weekend night for your carry out. Good things come to those who WAIT. I honestly can’t say enough positive things about this location, the quality and BROAD SELECTION of what you can get- basically everything Italian. Hate to say it- Maisanos you got competition. Please do yourself a favor and try their pasta- we found a QUICKER and more affordable way to get a late night pasta fix. Will keep this location in mind for catering this year. Too good ! Thanks Benito’s for being underrated and awesome. Just goes to show you , good locations don’t HAVE to promote- food always speaks for itself. Family from out of town WANTS THIS EVERYTIME they come to visit....

For at least 4 years we have been ordering from Benitos. Pastas, Pizzas, Sandwiches. The past 2 orders over 2 weeks have been lacking. Last week we got the deep dish and it looked deflated and the bottom was hard and over cooked. They sent another that wasnt much better. Chalked it up to bad dough And figured next time would be better.

Wrong ! Tonight was disappointed again ! Parts of the pieces underneath were burnt. But also I can tell something has changed. When you would bite into the deep dish it used to Fluffy with a crunch from the bottom. Now it's just no crunch and bottom is overly cooked greasy. Just not the same !!! Whats changed ? Different dough. Different pans, oven problems , different Oil ? So disapointed, this was our Favorite!!! My fiance said no more we are not paying for lesser quality and for something we no longer enjoy. Iam so sad smh

UPDATE: Michael is super nice and friendly and I didn't even know he was the owner at this location. Anyway he was nice enough to add a credit for my next order and when I went inside to pickup he explained that the online curbside system was relatively new at the time of my initial review and added that they've made improvements. I really appreciate his responsiveness and explanation on the matter. And my custom pizza was delish! 😁 I will order again.

INITIAL REVIEW: Im so frustrated with their customer service. I ordered online and notified them that I arrived per their instructions. I also responded to the text notification TWICE and still was waiting almost 15 minutes in the parking lot even though they text me saying my order was ready. Just to finally go inside and see my order sitting on the shelf. Almost was late on my lunch break. They really need to pay closer attention to customers who order online and their arrival...
