Mamma Mia’s Pizzeria — Restaurant in Nutley

Having just moved into Nutley my wife and I have been on the hunt for a good pizza place. A lot of recommendations we had for some popular Nutley spots really fell flat for us. Finally we decided to try Mamma Mia’s after passing it on the way to our house a million times, and we didn’t really expect much. Happy to report the pizza here has blown us away! It’s exactly what we’ve been looking for! Perfect thin, crispy crust, delicious sauce, and the right amount of cheese. Perfection. Since this place opened I have been a very loyal customer always ordering from them. I felt their food was amazing. Unfortunately I don’t know what has changed but besides raising their prices a lot their quality has declined. They have a special 2 subs for $20. I got that all the time. Now the subs are 2 for $26! Raised it $6. Plus I get the Italian sub. The sandwich used to be so full of meat and now there is literally 2 slices of ham and one piece of salami! It was awful. Ordered from Mamma Mia. Food was great. I ordered a chicken parm sub with vodka sauce, chicken Murphy, antipasto and tiramisu. I had multiple changes to the typical menu. Everything was perfect and delicious. Dressing on the side and all. They packaged the cold food separate from the hot and it was delicious. Will make it my go to restaurant from now on.
