What is Ube? Ube or Purple Yam is a root vegetable indigenous to Asia similar to a sweet potato but sweeter and more mellow with a slightly nutty, vanilla taste. I couldn't remember if I ever had it before, hubby said I had but I honestly can't remember so, I had to give in to the curiosity. After all, Ube flavor is becoming trendy. In fact, it is considered the new "IT" flavor. I've heard so much hype about both the place and Ube. We purchased the following, #24 Ube Soft Serve Espresso, #21 Ube Soft Serve Milk Tea, and #20 Ube Mochi Taiyaki with boba.
I had chosen Ube Mochi Taiyaki with boba. My taiyaki was not handed to me like an ice cream cone with the Ube ice cream on top, so I was hoping the taiyaki fish was going to have custard or red bean paste, inside. I was disappointed my Ube Mochi Taiyaki was empty. My taiyaki fish was rubbery and not warm. I suspected it was pre-made in advance and possibly zapped in a toaster for a few seconds to try and make it warm but it was a fail. For those who adore taiyaki, it was not filled with any custard or sweet red bean paste. It is supposed to be similar to a waffle where it is sweet, crispy yet chewy. Again, it was too chewy.
My family all agreed, that their desserts were exceptionally sweet. That is not a criticism but just our opinion.
The shop is tight and there are 5 bistro tables along with two chairs to the table. There are two swinging lounge chairs, as well. The entire place has all the incredible photo opportunities for you to take. They even have a ring light so that you can take a selfie. There are plenty of neon signages on the walls so that you can take more food photos, as you hold your edible items up.
This is a locally owned coffee and creamery where they serve desserts, bubble teas, breakfast treats, and coffee. The staff are all incredibly sweet and will steer you in the right direction if you are truly not sure what to order.
There is only street parking and at times, the creamery will get incredibly crowded. As we were about to get up from our table, we literally bumped into some people who were hawkishly waiting way too...

I’m so disheartened to give this place a bad review because I really enjoyed their ube cannolis and mango floats but the last time I went here is the last time I will ever go here again. I walked in and up to the counter to order two ube cannolis. The young lady working at the counter was on her phone while another young lady behind her seemed to be finishing up preparing an order. She makes direct eye contact with me, smiles, I smile in return thinking she’s going to say something to the girl at the counter that a customer is waiting to order, instead, the girl at the counter on her phone turns around, turns her back towards me, continues to text or whatever on her phone and then begins to have a full conversation with the other woman who finished preparing an order. I was honestly so confused. I thought maybe they’re not working the counter and someone else is coming up from the back? (Because there was someone else in the back). After awkwardly waiting for an appropriate time to interrupt their conversation, I asked “Excuse me, is this where I order?” And the first girl at the counter turned around and said “oh, you didn’t order yet?” Then I finally got my cannolis and left. I was so horrified by their customer service, I will never go back there again and I will always tell people this story when they ask about going...
Read moreNew favorite place for dessert and coffee! They had their soft opening on 7/17 and we went in on 7/18! We tried 3 things on the menu: 1) Ube Soft Serve Boba 2) Strawberry Matcha Latte 3) Early Grey Milk Tea. All three were delicious! I am NOT fond of super sweet desserts/drinks but the sugar level was ON POINT. The ube softserve is super flavorful, creamy, and delicious. The strawberry matcha latte (I asked for light sugar) has adorable packaging (comes in a really cute soda can) and had real strawberries on the bottom! IMO, the matcha tea could be a tad stronger but I still liked it a lot as it was refreshing and not too sweet! The earl grey milk tea (I asked for no sugar) was fragrant , citrusy, and lively! Lastly, the star of the show was actually an off-menu item they were still testing out: affogato (espresso + ice cream). The espresso shot was made with the perfect amount of crema on top and it didn't have the slightest bit of acidity!! After all, this place has coffee in its namesake so it definitely needs more coffee focused menu items! Mixed with the ice cream for that slight sweetness- the affogato was absolutely delicious. I hope they add the affogato on the menu as that was actually my favorite!! We will definitely be back and look forward to trying all of the other items...
