Art on the Ave Paint Your Own Pottery and Art Studio — Attraction in Nutley

The experience was really lovely and Nicole fantastic to deal with. Very amenable, helped to decorate and make the whole event fun for the kids. One thing was concerning and sort of spoiled the experience for me. One of the helpers was very condescending to me during the event. There are 3 coat hooks in the entire place. Now that’s a problem for a children’s event in winter that features paint. With 10-15 kids plus their parents, there’s no place to put things. ONE of my guests had a coat on a chair. The helper scolded me for that, and then handed me Nicole’s wallet, accusing it of being one of my guests’. I then, like a fool walked the wallet around asking my guests if it was theirs during the event, eventually ended up opening it to see it was Nicole’s. She continued to lecture me about too many parents. Had I known it was a drop off situation, I would have informed them. I paid about $600 for one hour of being chastised by someone who was working as a helper. This really soured my experience and I likely will not be back. We looked forward to this event for months and I’m sorry that the experience ended like that.

I recommend that all policies are published in writing prior to the event, that there is more storage for coats during winter, and that paid clients are not treated poorly, it’s pretty much...

I had my daughter's 8th birthday here recently. For reference there were 16 kids. It was perfect! The owner was so easy to work with and pleasant. The party package was excellent. The place is so cute and there were great options for all of the kids. They did such a wonderful job making sure that each child had exactly what they needed to make their beautiful pieces. Art on the ave is an amazing place ! I have been there multiple times and they never disappoint ! The place is extremely clean, and COVID safe! The staff there is always wearing masks and super friendly! They even ask for suggestions to make the experience of painting pottery that much better ! I brought my grandma here and she loved it and keeps asking to go back! I even went for a ladies night and they had fun music playing and great snacks/drinks for an AMAZING price !
